Tiger's Return

Post by JollyMon66 »

He's back - Tiger to play in The Masters.

http://www.pgatour.com/2010/r/03/16/woods/index.html

Being a golfer - a golfer with limited talent when compared to touring professionals I might add - I looked at Tiger as perhaps the greatest golfer we have ever seen. I believe he earned that right at this point in is career. I for one will be looking forward to see what last few months has meant to his game and to the reception he receives from his fans….

I am not a golf fan.

I admire those who play the game well, and he does.

I'm SO over the media analyzing his personal life. It's no one's business but his and his family.

I'm with you....BUT...here's what's intriguing about this story for me...a golfer. The amount of pressure these guys are under to perform is HUGE. Making or missing a short one could cost tens of thousands. Tiger performed at a level well above his peers for years WHILE all of this stuff was going on behind the scenes. How could he turn it off and on? My interest now is whether he can come back to playing at the level he was prior to his personal life become international news. The press needs to focus on golf and let the pesonal life and family be. I certainly don’t condone what he did – as a matter of fact I lost a lot of respect for the guy but I’m still a fan of golf…just not a fan of Tiger.

I love golf, not a big fan of Tiger's. He is one of the best players that has ever picked up a club, but to come back and play your first event in 4 months in the Masters... That is going to be tough for anyone, I just know at Augusta they are very, very strick on both the Media and the guest. I have been there twice, and it is one of the events if you like golf you need to put on your list to attend if you can. The event will be the pressure on Tiger, the Media there will be kept at bay from him... They have a private past champions dressing room that goes out to the pratice area and the 1st tee area. So he will not have to interact with a lot of people. I just hope he addresses his issues, if you want to have affairs with 12+ women, let your lovely wife move on and become the Playboy you want to be. If you get your act together remember you have 2 kids and the world by the balls, I know when you grew up you never had the chance to be a kid. Now hopefully you have got all that out of your system and can concetrate on your family and your Charities. Best of luck with both.

If he has a bad first round it could get ugly, on the other hand with his ability he could come in there and kick A**... With him playing it will help out the PGA Tour, I will still cheer for Phil Mickelson & John Daly when he plays.. My 2 Cents!

He's been playing since he was three or four. A few months off won't matter for him.
Besides didn't he do well with a hurt leg? I'm not sure but I heard that today.
Makes no difference to me because I'd rather watch turtles mate than watch golf but I do hope he does well and shoves it in everyone's face, no pun intended

I hope (although probably in vain) that the Masters focuses on golf, golf, and only golf, and leaves the players' private lives on the other side of the clubhouse.

I double dog dare them.... Focus only on golf.

I'm sick of Tiger. I was sick of Tiger before Thanksgiving. I hope Phil Mickelson wins it.

he picked the safe venue to come back at!!!...as for CBS...they will not even come close to criticize Tiger....one they are afraid to...which at times he should be...throwing clubs down...heavy swearing......but the also need him for ratings.....so i think Jim Nantz and Co will just focus on the game!!

As for being a Tiger fan.....i never was , but i respect that he the best golfer in the world....and the guy has game.....i like the underdogs usually!!....But i do like Phil!!
