Any wine drinkers out there? I do not drink wine, so I know nothing, except no screw tops...
Our daughter asked us up for Easter, and would like a nice bottle of Pinot Noir from Oregon.
Can anyone recommend any labels?
Thanks!
Hmmm, can't think of any off the top of my head, but there are a lot of good pinots out there, not just from Oregon. Do you have a World Market near you? They are always helpful with wine. I've gotten a lot of recommendations from Adrian, my wine guy there, and he hasn't steered me wrong yet.
BTW, screwtops are perfectly acceptable these days...you'll find more and more wineries going this route as opposed to cork, real or synthetic.
WOW! Wished we had a World Market close to us. I just looked at their website and they look like fun. I did see one in Buckhead, which would be on the way to their house, so I could always swing in there on the way.
THANKS for the tip!

A really good Pinot Noir is the one at this local winery called Cooper's Hawk...But it's local to the Chicago Area and I'm not sure if they ship... It runs about 17 dollars a bottle....
I have an idea, how about anyone coming out to Chicago in August (Bridgeview TP) meet up at Cooper's Hawk in Orland the night before I'll treat everyone and we'll share a bottle (or two) of their Pinot Noir (see I got it back on topic )
