I've heard Todd spin this one before but it's still classic storytelling. Well worth a listen, especially if you've never heard it before.

Rare, vintage performance from John Prine shot at a roast for Sam Phillips in April of 1984. Joining in on the fun are Billy Swan, Cowboy Jack Clement and Johnny Cash.

I've been at a few concerts where a train passed through during the middle of a song but no one handled it quite like Darrell Scott does here. More people should...

Neat video. Thanx!
A most mysterious calling harbour
So far, but yet, so near
Where I see the day
When my hair's full gray
and I finally...disappear. BUT NOT YET!!

Really eerie to see Guy Clark at Crighton Theater in Conroe when the train passed through right on cue during Desperados Waiting On A Train. He still tells that story.

I've heard Lukas with his band The Promise of the Real and the resemblance to Willie's voice and guitar playing is obvious but it's never more obvious than actually hearing them sing together. In fact, it's kind of eerie but in a good way. Here's a cool clip of Eddie Vedder calling into Willie's channel on XM during a live session with Lukas which is well worth a listen:

Title track from Shawn Colvin's new album We All Fall Down. The record was produced by Buddy Miller.

I've only been able to catch Todd live once. He didn't do this one when I saw him. Totally worth a listen ...or two ...or three! :D

Oh, like that one! One of the biggest things I miss about not having Sirius radio anymore, is the Outlaw Country show with Cowboy Jack Clement.

As is this one, especially since this week marks the 42nd anniversary of the day Dock Ellis pitched a no-hitter while tripping on LSD. He's not the first to do so but leave it to Todd to capture that moment in song.

The song kicks in a little after the 2 minute mark.

This isn't on YouTube (at least not yet) but last night Elizabeth Cook and Jason Isbell contributed covers of two Townes Van Zandt songs ("Tecumsah Valley" and "Pancho and Lefty") to Live On Letterman, an exclusive web-only feature on the Late Show with David Letterman website. To watch the clip click here.
