Buffett Played Panama City Beach Margaritaville Today!!!

Buffett finally played at our Margaritaville Today at 5 O'clock!!!! It was just Buffett and Mac. Mac did a couple of songs and Jimmy played eight. When I get it together, I'll post the play list. It was GREAT!!!! Had 1 1/2 Hours notice to get there, The place was crazy!!! I'm still floating on air!!!

Wow, what a great experience! Yes to see Buffett in a small venue is a PH dream come true.
I got the call around 3:30 yesterday and was told to get to Margaritaville that Jimmy was going to be there between 4:00 or 5:00. So away we went! When we got there other friends were already there and the place was just starting to get crazy. The "secret" was out! We FINALLY got seated after 45 minutes! The place got packed quick!! A little before 5:00,The Barry Fish Band started to play. They played three songs when Mac poked his head out and came on stage. The place went wild over Mac! He played a couple of songs, when Jimmy was spotted and the place ERUPTED!! This was incredible!! Jimmy talked about his roots and being from the Gulf Coast. With a little help from my friends, I am still trying to get the EXACT set list but here is what I can remember :

I am heading back to Destin next month...How is the rebuilt version??? I have missed the place my last several visits!

The Tail is now open again! The upstairs is much nicer with much more seating and is "built to code" versus the old Tail. The downstairs is exactly the same as before. Same great staff, same great sunsets.
The county is building a new boardwalk from Surfside Resort west almost to the Circle K. When its done, its going to be a much safer place to park plus the dunes will have a chance to heal from all the storms.
When you come to the Tail, ask for Wayne and Cathi and Mr. Utley. We'll buy you a drink.

I am so sorry. I never meant it that way. We are so happy that he came to town and you guys had a wonderful time!
My first thought this morning when I saw the thread was why didn't M'ville PC send out a tweet or email at 3:30 saying "be a here by 5". We are on their Local list and email list. We just spent my birthday there last Sunday. It would have been a nice gesture.
