I am usually very good about reading parking signs since I got my car towed in NYC when I was 19 and have never had any issues parking in NYC for 30 yrs. That changed when I recently received a parking ticket in NYC last week while using a muni meter for the first time. The time on the stub was not visible so I came back to a parking ticket ($65) ouch! Before paying it online I decided to do a Google it and found this site showing how to reduce it from $65 to $43 just by disputing it and then agreeing to not contest it, seems like an oxymoron. But by doing this simple step it saved me $22 on something which I probably couldn't have disputed anyway. So for those who might need it in the future i would like to pass this on.
