This is the most I've paid for airfare in a long time. But we got directs both ways and the departing flight is at noon on Monday not 6:30am like last May.

yeah, it's pretty high for us right now.... $200....we can drive all five of us for that....$200 for a 50 minute flight seems high.

We paid $440 but we're in the air a little longer, lol.

Shoot, wish I could drive. I'm doing 5 hours to get to Frisco and wouldn't have it any other way, just so I can take all my tailgate stuph. It's a tad farther from San Antonio to Vegas, though. RT right now is $314 plus fees. Not the cheapest I've seen, but I'm saving money other ways this trip!

I might if they gave me $1!! It's pretty iffy there these days...you would have to be on one tight budget and be not particular at all. I'd rather stay downtown and mess with the bus to the monorail if I really had to stretch those bucks. A great cheap place right in the middle of the strip is Casino Royale. I stayed there one night last year, and was pleasantly surprised by the rooms. Not fancy, sort of a Motel 6 with wooden shutters on the window and a great view of a wall, but clean, good beds and awesome location for less that $50. Orleans is supposed to be nice and they have a strip shuttle. I don't know anyone offering those $1 rates, though!

I stayed there about a year or so ago my room was great. There are re-doing some of the rooms. No complants from me. Of course I had a car so getting around was no problem!!! I would stay there again.
