Thank you Jimmy! (with picture)
We introduced my 73-year old father to Jimmy Buffett as we were heading to Margaritaville in PCB for dinner one night two years ago. He heard Tin Cup Chalice and he made an instant connection with that song and with Jimmy. That night, he must have played the song 50 times over and over. Last year, we introduced him to his first concert in Tampa and he was immediately hooked. This year, he joined us again for the concert and he got to mark something off his bucket list. As the night went on, we were all praying that Jimmy would play his favorite song for him... and he did for his final encore!!
Earlier at the tailgate, the Margaritaville camera crew interviewed my father and asked him about his favorite Buffett song. He proudly held up his homemade Tin Cup Chalice for the camera and proclaimed his love for the song. I don't know if Jimmy actually watched that interview... we like to think that he did... but we feel like he played the song just for him.
Thanks Jimmy for bringing the School Boy Heart out of my 73 year old father. You have taught us all how to grow up without growing older.

Re: Thank you Jimmy!
My parents are in their 80s too and like Big Band music. One year I gave them a CD with some songs that I thought bridged the gap a little, Bob Roberts, Stars Fell on Alabama, Slow Boat to China, etc. I think they liked it.
