Man, does that sound good, and it was. Last night at home, listening to the show from Dallas on RM, we made a shrimp boil using Landshark Lager. It was so good that I want to share the recipe here:
2 cups water (awful stuff. No alcohol in it. What gives?)
1 bottle of Landshark Lager (good stuff. Plenty of alcohol in it. Now that's just good thinking.)
Old Bay seasoning (Season generously. Being from the great state of Maryland, I am of the school that there is no such thing as too much Old Bay. Here's the litmus test: If the kiddies do not cry, add more Old Bay. If the kiddies cry, you have the right amount of seasoning.)
1 lb. of 21/25 shrimp, shells on and fins up!
In a saucepan, add water and beer. Don't drink any of the beer, that's what the other five bottles are for. Add Old Bay seasoning. As I have already said, season generously. Don't be shy. Get some FREAKIN' OLD BAY IN THE SAUCE!!! Bring to a boil.
On the side, you've got a pound of shrimp still in the shells. Season them generously too with Old Bay. Have I mentioned yet that there is no such thing as too much Old Bay?
When the sauce comes to a boil, stir. Get your boil under control. Don't panic. Take a sip of one of those other five bottles of Landshark. Now, add the shrimp to the boil. Cook for about 2 minutes, not longer than 3. They are done when they turn pink and curl.
Eat. Consume with a Landshark Lager while listening to Jimmy and the Reefers and Reeferettes on RM.
Shells Up, Parrotheads!
