Infamous Liars

Post by JollyMon66 »

I found this interesting slide show this morning on "Infamous Liars".

Remember these names and stories?

Will society every learn that role models are not made on the sporting field or in the press?

Editorial Note: Although a good bit younger than me...Floyd Landis, who was stripped of his Tour DeFrance win as a result of a failed drug test is a graduate of my high school. It was interesting to watch as this story broke several years ago, the overriding support he received from the local community. The truthful revevaltions over the past few weeks must be very difficult on his parents and family that still live locally.

These guys are all pretty recent, with the exception of Nixon. The spread of video, cable TV and the interwebs have made it so much easier to expose the lies. I think it would be even more interesting to see a list of the top 10 lies by decade all the way back to the 1700's. But remember like George Costanza states "Its not a lie if you believe it."

BB you're a cyclist - so how much as the doping allegations and Floyd Landis confession hurt the sport?
