I had the opportunity to visit the area less than 2 weeks ago - such a beautiful, pristine area - beaches so white and soft, waters so clear, with life you can see - stingrays skimming thru the shallow water - so close to shore, dolphins frolicking just offshore - the delicious fruits of the sea - oh those fresh royal red shrimp that came from the gulf! It breaks my heart to see what is happening now! Birds - covered in oil, gasping for air - struggling to survive! Dead birds, sea turtles, dolphins!! I am glad that Jimmy is there, trying to make a difference, donating some of his money to recovering and rehabilitating the affected wildlife! It will pass as most disasters do - but in true parrotthead form, I call to my fellow phlock - try to get involved and make a difference!!

We were watching the late night news, showing the Pensacola beach oil balls. I turned to the hubby and started to say, "They need to interview Jim......OMG ! THERE HE IS !"
Tomorrow, I'll hear this a lot of times, "Did you see the news last night ?"

In an interview, he said something about his "song line being under bombardment". What does he mean ?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Songlines
Songlines, also called Dreaming tracks by Indigenous Australians within the animist indigenous belief system, are paths across the land (or, sometimes the sky[1]) which mark the route followed by a localised 'creator-spirit' during the Dreaming. The paths of the songlines are recorded in traditional songs, stories, dance, and painting.

A knowledgeable person is able to navigate across the land by repeating the words of the song, which describe the location of landmarks, waterholes, and other natural phenomena. In some cases, the path of the creator-spirit is said to be evident from their marks, or petrosomatoglyphs, on the land, such as large depressions in the land which are said to be their footprints.

There are so many song lines that he could be referring to, but the first that comes to my mind is "all of those tourists covered in oil".
