Thank you for sharing. Our local paper's headlines this morning were that tar balls began washing ashore from Fort Walton Beach in Okaloosa County east to Grayton Beach in Walton County. We'll be headed to the Whale's Tail in Miramar Beach today after work. Gotta see this first hand.

I walked the beach yesterday evening at low tide. Mr. Utley and I walked a mile from our house to the Whale's Tail. I can say I saw no oil/tar balls. There is some June Grass washing up, but that's natural. Plenty of tourists enjoying the water. Wind is out of the north today, so the Gulf is flat as a pancake. There is no smell of petroleum. Please take what you hear and read about the Destin area with some temperance. I know its really bad over in Louisiana in the marsh lands and I feel terrible about what is happening over there. But to this point, we have been spared. Updates to follow.
