Jimmy Buffett announced a free concert on July 1, 2010 in Gulf Shores, AL to promote awareness and tourism in the Gulf area. Special guests will include Sonny Landreth, Zac Brown Band, Kenny Chesney, Jesse Winchester and Allen Toussaint. A special souvenir tee shirt will also be designed for the concert and sold onlne and at the show. More info coming soon!
FYI...if you are coming, you need to hurry up and get a place to stay. Go to http://gulfshores.com One more thing there are not any hotels close to the HangOut where this is going to happen, just condos. The HangOut is located at the end of Hwy 59 at the beach.
WE'RE IN!!! Just made our reservations at Luxury RV Resort which is a short walk to the Hangout. We were just there in May for the Hangout Festival and it's an AWESOME place to listen to good music and hang out with friends. When we were there, we were saying that it would be great for Jimmy to come home and play here since the festival was raising money for the oil spill relief efforts. We knew he would come through!!!
Any word on how to get tics??? Will The Hangout handle them or what? Live in P'cola and am @ our pristine beach every day... my escape! MUST get 8 tics for this awesome concert!! Can't wait to feel that "Bama Breeze"
Past Free concerts have required an admission ticket, obtained either through radio station giveaways or directly @ The Hangout... or will this one be truly "Open Beach Access"? Just asking, as you can see my status is "NEWBIE" and don't want to miss out due to lack of info!
We are in also. Booked a room at the America's Best Inn in Foley for $75.55. During the Hangout Festival in May, they shuttled you in from various locations around Gulf Shores. We'll be waiting for the ticket info.
