Old Ad
Though you guys might appreciate this. Found this old newspaper unpacking from a move to a new house. Didn't even recognize him! Newspaper Mobile Register is dated 4/2/69 more than a year before I was born! I can't recall his timeline...was this before he migrated to the keys??

In fact that was the year he graduated from Southren Mississippi University. In April of 1969 he would still have been in school and working on the weekends. What a great find!!

Thanks all. Wow what a find indeed! Actually it was the ad above it for the $1.99 all you can eat crab legs that caught my eye LOL. He's so young in that picture I had to look hard to realize it was really him. I was thinking about framing the whole paper. There are some really neat car ads, articles about civil rights and a tire shop ad running a special of 4 Bridgestone tires for $10!! I have the whole paper from that day. There wasn't much to it back then LOL.

I was born and raised in Mobile. I remember my Mom and Dad taking me to lunch once a month at the Admiral Semmes Hotel dining room after church. Plus that ad for Romeo and Juliet at the Loop Theater caught my eye. My folks took me to see Thunderball (007), The Sound of Music and other movies there. Wow, what memories. Thank you for sharing!
