And another one of my favorites by Jesse songs. Please take a listen. There is such magic in his songwriting and performing. Sham-A-Ling-Dong-Ding
And O the poor old old folks
They smile and walk away
But I bet they did some
Sham-a-lama-ding-dong in their day
I bet that they still close their eyes
And I bet they sing along to
O sham-a-ling-dong-ding
Sham-a-ling-dang-dong
:::tears::: ??? maybe cause I'm old.
Now that all the "big" acts have cancelled, does anyone have extra tix to give to one of the locals who got shut out? I'm going regardless, but would really like a ticket to be safe. Thanks ahead of time.

Assuming that they are able to do this, it would be a red eye flight down.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Nancy - thanks for sharing the Jesse Winchester videos. I, too, am looking forward to seeing/hearing him this weekend. I missed him when he was in town at The Mucky Duck.
this whole thing sounds like its falling apart. you'll get two run of the mill people, like Winchester and Allen Toussaint. Then maybe 1.5 hours of Buffett. With 35,000 descending on GS, its going to be crowded everywhere. Then, JB comes out rides the Hussein bandwagon, that everything is George Bush's fault. Never thought I'd say this, but JB needs to get his head out of ----- you know where.
I'm surely not going to GS to support some liberal BS agenda. If he begins all this crap on stage, I'm leaving.

And that's your right to leave.
I'm not sure that I'd call Winchester and Toussaint "run of the mill".
Ilo Ferreira Saturday night at 6:30 at Lulu's!!!!!
Too many people to see soooo little time...
count me out...........i LOVE Ilo but i am sure the crazy people who think Jimmy is going to show up at Ilo's show will jam the play and act like a$$HATS like down at MOTM last year...........
Me as well, Christine. Would love to see Ilo too, but already have plans to be elsewhere.
Same here!!! and now Brent is playing at Oceans.....we may try to leave Fairhope a little early and stop to catch his last few songs!
Interesting. I have seen Ilo a lot up here so this may be a possibility depending on my ride.
Any word on any of the CRB showing up anywhere?
Some people never find it, some only pretend
But me, I just want to live happily ever after every now and then.
Find me on: Facebook, Twitter, Blog

How can you leave if you aren't there??? Run of the mill?? really???

You mean Jesse Winchester, the man who's a good enough songwriter that Buffett's covered 6 or 7 of his songs? And Allen Toussaint, Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer Allen Toussaint? Here's a quarter, go buy a clue.

Maybe Bubba will send up his jet to pick them up on Saturday night? What's a little JP-4 amongst friends.....
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

be sure to park over by LuLu's, that way you'll have less difficulty getting out and back on 59.
Parrothead 317, so you don't support the liberal agenda, because that's what you'll be doing if you go there, how about you give me the tix and I'll tell Mr. Buffett to get his head out of his butt and let Mr. Allen know that he should learn some new chops on the piano instead of just hammering away at the same ol run of the mill crap. Then everyone will be happy. PM a meeting place to get those nasty liberal tix outta your hand ASAP. The longer you hold onto them, the more you'll start leaning to the left.

I think he's already starting to favour his left. The vehemence of his post, he's really in denial. He just needs to come out, acknowledge his true preference, and cancel his subscription to "Sarah Palin's Greatest Speeches, THE EP"
Surprised that you still have the gaul to post "Under God" when the rest of your cronies want it removed from every published place in America!
Sorry folks, the tix are not for sale nor will they be given away. If Buffett would keep his lopsided politics in his pocket, this wouldn't even be an issue.
Let me ask you, who has the money to afford his tix? These are free, but most of the time a trip to a Buffett show, costs a good bit. Welfare recipients, illegals, and ACORN personnel are not the ones who fork out the cash for one of these shows. I'm not the only one beginning to get upset with JB's diarhea of the mouth Obama syndrome. By the way, most of you know about as much about the oilfield, as Obama knows about fixing the economy.
I was not trying to get political here, just wishing JB would focus on a restoring effort, instead of regurgitating Barry's opinions.
And let's face it, ZB and Chesney are bigger acts than Toussaint and Winchester. Winchester is like a Jerry Jeff personalilty. Not that I wouldn't see him, but I wouldn't spend $1000 on a trip to Bama to go see him.
For most of you snowbirds, instead of just tuning in to Rachel Maddo, why don't you come down south and find out the truth behind this disaster. AND WHAT IS BEING DONE TO CONTAIN AND CLEAN UP THE MESS.
