Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but this is a little overboard. Not the right time to be discussing his liberal agenda.
Buffett, a supporter of President Barack Obama, said the roots of the spill lie with the administration of former President George Bush, which was often criticized for being too cozy with the petroleum industry.
"To me it was more about eight years of bad policy before (Obama) got there that let this happen. It was Dracula running the blood bank in terms of oil and leases," he said. "I think that has more to do with it than how the president reacted to it."

1. You just realized that Jimmy's a bit of a liberal?
2. I just spent a week in New Orleans, Mobile and Gulf Shores. I was amazed at the number of people completely letting BP off the hook and placing the blame on Obama. Then I looked at the red/blue map and noticed that every county along that area of the gulf coast voted McCain. Odd, no?
"Key West trades in on the name 'Hemingway." You can't take a leak without seeing Hemingway this and Hemingway that. And the irony is, if Hemingway were alive today he'd take a blowtorch to Duvall Street." Hiaasen
Actually never knew he was a hard core liberal and I didn't intend to turn this thread into a show. I'm just tired of celebrities promoting their political agendas when they have no clue what they're talking about (republicans and democrats).
When it comes to disasters and politics you can find a way to spin it in any direction you want it to go. Jimmy is simply hearing and swallowing what he wants to and regurgitating it. We all do it at one time or another.
There's plenty of blame to go around with this deal.
Just to name a few:
BP
Deepwater Horizon Rig(Transocean)
Halliburton
Cameron International
Lack of quick response
Refusal of foreign help
Deep water drilling vice shallow water drilling
Lax regulatory checks
Simple complacency
and the list goes on and on.
Every day you wake up you get another chance to do it right.

.. how long it's gonna take... for what? For the oil to get cleaned up? Or for the country to finally be big boys and girls and stop kissing the a** of every big corporation in this country.
And by the way - Jimmy has every right to voice his politics just as you and I do. At least he has some b*lls and isn't afraid of any " economic effect " it might have with a handful of fans who think otherwise.
OK - it's hotter than hell here and now i need to go cool off!

Read above again. He's just waiting for popcorn. It's a joke around BN to post pictures or comments about popcorn when there's a volitile subject being discussed.
I will say this in defense to his comments....OBAMA, JINDAL, AND ALL had a chance to really shine and they blew the ball on this one. someone needs to step up and get this s*** under control. It is now in Lake Pontchartrain and seems there is no end in sight

i actually work in the oil industry
i live in Texas
i lean towards the right when it comes to politics
i was/am a big George W supporter
...and i have no problem with what Jimmy says. That's his right as an American. He can have his opinions and say what he thinks, and I can do the same.

This i agree with. Many people take it to heart and seem to be too sensitive on issues (BOTH left and rights) You cant change someones way of thinking, it just isnt going to happen very often

Bingo. Playing the blame game don't get sh!t done.
Every day you wake up you get another chance to do it right.
spadilly and lati2d did you read my first sentence? I stated that JB has a right to his opinion.
snowparrot, blaming President Bush and saying that his association with oil and drilling is worse than Obama's response to this catastrophe is asinine. JB calls the gulf coast his home but he comes down here maybe once every 3-4 years.
I'm just sick and tired of the blame game. Like the above poster said, this oil has now reached Lake Pontchartrain and has done so much damage to the Louisiana marshes it's disgusting.

Yes I know, Penny. I was just being a bit sarcastic this morning.

Thank you, another yellowalbum fan, making way for someone who will appreciate the other 8 songs in playlist. Can we count on you to not take up valuable ticket opportunities at other concerts as well?

somehow, I have a feeling he's a bit better informed than you give him credit for being. Just a guess.
