Seems a couple in Vermont are working towards building robots into which you can download your life experiences with the thought that you can preserve your life forever - eventually they believe DNA cloning can be involved as well.

The article is written by Vt resident and my all time favorite writer (besides our own BN authors)
Chris Bohjalian.

I'd be interested in other thoughts - seems a slippery slope to me.

A little creepy....... :o

I'm boring enough as a human being, let alone a cyber-Parrothead! :pirate:
On most days I say: "Wrinkles only go where the smiles have been...."
Sometimes I can only say: "There is no dumbass vaccine......"

If something or someone gets you down, just remember: "In a hundred years it all won’t matter.........."

Sounds like another way of fleecing money from people that have more money than brains.

I can see this being good. And I can certainly see it being used for evil.
It is a slippery slope, but you know humans are going to do anything they can think of, regardless of the consequences. The Terminator comes to mind. :o

On a lighter note, the robot ladly looks depressed. Maybe she knows what's coming.
The song going through my head is: "I...ain't got no bah-dee" 8)
