Connie and I have been working on the house some this year. The living room is sporting new paint and Draperies. Now it's time to hang the New art work we bought at the home show.
So I am measuring the piece we are going to hang over the fireplace. then I measure the spot over the fire place
and it occurs to me that I probably don't want to mount it exact center.
I call a friend of mine to ask him if there's some kind of rule to this and he replies yes, there's a very simple rule.
"You wait until Connie comes home, then you hold the art up on the wall and move it around until she says RIGHT THERE!"

Naturally, after any heavy item such as a piano or couch has been placed in the designated location,
the following comment will be heard ......
"No. I think I liked it better where it was before. Move it back."

Yes, that's right. But sometimes you just have to see it in the other place to be sure you liked it in the original place to begin with. It's all very simple, you see.

I can guarantee I've moved more furniture back and forth than any of my husbands ever did.

They only have to move it one time to get the complaining started...
