Would you ever...
Go to a JB concert only to tailgate? The shows are great, but the tailgating is where all the fun is. I was thinking that we could continue to tailgate and listen to RM and enjoy it all the same.

I don't forsee me going into any show in the near future - they're basically the same as they were 6 years ago with virtually no imagination in the set; just a couple of platforms and a scrim.
Now the tailgates - that's where I go to see my friends and have a good time with them!!

not typically
but if you are going to 5+ shows that year and are in a city with 2 dates it saves some money

Re: Would you ever...
The problem with Toyota Park, as they really weren't checking tickets, it this is probably another reason that the lot overflowed
And to stay on topic, I probably wouldn't just tailgate, after all I need the concert to sober up enough to drive home

(and yes I'm just kidding on that last part

Re: Would you ever...
Would I? No. Personally, I go to Buffett shows to see Jimmy and the band and to connect to the music. Tailgating is fun, but the show is about the show.
Go to the show!

Re: Would you ever...
We would have definitely done that for the Thursday show at Nissan this year. We've been going to 2 shows (in three days) plus a Mac show in between for the past 3(?) years. Last year. the morning after the second Nissan show we got up and looked at one another and said "These 3 days may kill us if we're not in the poorhouse!" That's when we decided one concert a week.
And since we're away for the concerts at Nissan this year........not a problem......

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"
Re: Would you ever...
I would.. But it would be my luck that Jimmy would choose that show
to play Distantly in Love, or the Rancho Deluxe Version of
Livingston Saturday night.. or... Turnabout.. Mile high in Denver...

I really look forward to the shows. But I'm a relative newcomer to Buffett so they are all still special to me.
