"When we asked Eat Like a Man readers to name the most life-changing burger joint in a poll last week, we kinda figured the honor would go to one of the bigger chains: Steak 'n Shake, In-N-Out, Five Guys. The others were just outnumbered. Instead, the winner by a huge margin, with 56% of the votes, was Seattle-based Dick's Drive-In, which inspired more vocal burger love than any other place, even from some guy in Florida."

Steak and Shake: Had my first one in Springfield, IL and when they got here, I have made a (more than a) few stops. Good burger, not life-changing, but good.
Five Guys: I honestly don't see what the fuss is. $12 for a basic burger/fries/Coke. have eaten there several times since we got them here. they are ok, but not life-changing.
In-And-Out: Good burger. after a bunch of tequila on a bus in Vegas, interesting conversation with a limo-driver/escort's "agent" waiting for the food. Really good burger. Not changing my life to become an escort's agent or limo-driver.
Haven't been in SEA for 12 years, and not a lot of chance of it short of lottery money and the "drive the 4 corners" idea. but, I would give it a shot if I am out there
Whataburger: some great stories, some good times with great friends, probably as life-affecting as a burger joint can be.
