Oh yeah. He was playing jickball at school yesterday and slid into 1st base. Didn't have the heart to tell him you don't have to slide into first.

How old is the little guy? If he's under 10 it's probably what the medics call a "green-stick fracture"; he'll probably heal quickly and with no after-effects.

And yeah — the cast will make him extremely über-cool for a while.

Poor Tony. BTDT, had the cast almost up to my shoulder til they recast it just on my forearm. At least casts nowadays are much lighter and colorful. They're tough to write on...but you can decorate them with stickers.
