Rare Jimmy Buffett memorabilia

Post by heron villa »

It would be nice to see what people have stored in boxes and draws about the main man.
There must be some very rare things that P'heads have collected over the years.
Tell us all about your prized possessions.

At this time I've got nothing except some albums on vinyl, cassette, and CD, my ticket stubs from Summerzcool at Alpine Valley last year, and the Summerzcool shirt I bought when I was there.

i have a watercolor painting which i have had for many years that looks signed by jimmy buffet done in 1977. whether real and his i am not sure but i believe an original watercolor and not a print. caribbean tropical scene. look at signature close. i believe this is from 33 years ago. i looked at more modern signatures of his and name jimmy is done different and shorter. however, look at those newer ones and the two t's in buffett. my photo doesn't show real well but both are have arch along top of tt and both slanted in on the tt similar to newer autographs of his. comments appreciated. moonbeamfashion6@msn.com

Its a William Buffett. Nice find if it is an original.

About the coolest thing I've got is a test pressing record with "Please Take Your Drunken 15 year old Girlfriend Home", "Train To Dixieland", and alternate versions of "Kick it in Second Wind" and "Wonder Why We Ever Go Home" on it.
Kick It In Second Wind is written on the cover and it contains all of the songs from the album Havana Daydreamin' except for Havana Daydreamin'.
I got if off of Ebay a few years back for $25.

I have a huge stuffed shark minus one fin from the Great Woods 2001 show. Jimmy held it for an encore then threw it into the crowd. We were second row.

LOL. I had totally forgotten about Jimmy being (sort of) in the cover band "The NOW GENERATION".
If memory serves the mustachioed and sideburned 22 year old wonder boy appeared on at least
two NOW GENERATION album covers.

Some guy screen name "Mickey-Doo" gave this album cover the following hilarious review:

The only people still able to see after the nuclear blast were Jimmy Buffett the Ron Orbison dude and the hot Cheryl Crow broad due to their protective glasses. The suit on the blind Dolly Parton has got to be constructed of Kevlar. The front center guy became a state trooper in SC 2 years later, I know he pulled me over. The tall dork in the back is actually just some guy who walk into the picture. Last but not least is goatee boy who later starred as Sinbad in all the dinorama films. If you have not listened to this collection of tunes, you will need to add this to your "Bucket List" Oh!! I heard Jimmy Bucket kicked the bucket.
