Margaritaville Nashville

Post by Bob Roberts »

Anybody know when they are set to open? I know originally they said October, but I've not heard anything lately other than they had a job fair for it last weekend.

News:

Downtown Margaritaville to open Nov. 22
Nashville Business Journal - by Eric Snyder
Date: Tuesday, November 9, 2010, 9:43am CST

http://www.bizjournals.com/nashville/ne ... ening.html

Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Nashville will open Nov. 22, the chain announced today.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. at the downtown restaurant at 322 Broadway. The first lunch will be held at 11 a.m. According to a press release, “the general public and colorful Parrot Heads are invited to come and observe the ceremony.”

The release says Nashville Mayor Karl Dean and Convention & Visitors Bureau President Butch Spyridon will be in attendance. Buffett himself is not listed, though the release notes more attendees are “to be announced.”

It looks like we (my mother, my mother in law, Mr. Mojito, my phavorite Nashville webmaster and me) might be there ... crossing my phins and pheathers that we can make this happen on our way to Knoxville. What fun would that be, I ask you? 8)

Shucks, this is not good timing. I will be in nashville next weekend and I am suppose to be leaving Monday early morning. I will have to see about staying until after lunch, that will be a long 9 hour drive after, but worth it especially if Jimmy shows up.

Why would you not open on Friday so you at least get a Friday and Saturday of practice with your bar staff before throwing them to the wolves for the biggest bar night of of year on the Wednesday before thanksgiving? Oh and if you Friday, I can waste away my whole weekend in Margaritaville Nashville, with a time out to go to the titans game.
My whole world lies waiting behind DOOR #3! In the meantime, I am just sippin' on a margarita.........

Well guys, I'm getting ready to head out to Nashville for the weekend. Going to see the Vols take on the Commodores and then the Titans vs. Redskins tomorrow. I will be walking right by Margaritaville twice tomorrow......praying to the tiki gods that the gift shop opens a day early. [smilie=cwl.gif] Unfortunatley I have to come home tomorrow night because of work on Monday. I'll let you guys know what it looks like from the outside.
