I heard about this but hadn't seen the video... AWESOME!

It is almost like at the Texas Tech vs. Baylor game... Tech special teams is looking at the ball, waiting for it to stop rolling. A Baylor player walks up to it, looks at them, picks the ball up and runs in for a touchdown.
I must be wishing on someone else's star....

Saw this yesterday. My 2 cents is...........these are young un's. Should be working on fundamentals instead of practicing "trickery" that makes the opposition look bad. I'm sure the coach is patting himself on the back for thinking up this one. He got his 3 minutes of fame, he must be ready for the "Big Time" now. How would he have felt if 1 of the defensive kids would have blasted the unprotected QB.
Ok with it if it's High School on up but not at this level.

Dr. C..... Not too put too fine a point on it (Because I basically agree with you...) BUT this IS the most basic fundemental in Football!!!! The ball is LIVE as soon as it is snapped and is still LIVE until a Ref calls it dead with the whistle....!!!!!

most of the Pop Warner teams that I was on sucked so bad that we could have used a couple of plays like those. We lost most games, rarely scored any tds and would have taken them any way we could get them.

Much appreciated Dr. C. BUT...I wish the Patriots would have thought of doing this play last weekend.

Dr Corona,
You're right but... you sound like my parents (and probably me now that I have kids). :)

The play reminds me of when we used to play football in the street in front of my house. We got VERY creative. Fortunately it was "touch" and not "tackle". Asphalt isn't very forgiving.

Anyway, we're going to a local high school game tonight. I hope they have a few plays like this. :)
