According to the seating chart at http://www.toyotacentertix.com/events/private_event.php, and I also confirmed this with the Toyota Center - they are only using the lower level sections and the floor. No upper level seating and no behind the stage seating. This will cut the capacity by about 1/2.

Did you know an American Express card is not always an American Express card???
I have been talking to AmEx all afternoon. We have an AmEx but it is through Bank of America. According to AmEx they do not have any info about our card, so we did not get info about this and won't be.
I talked to the concierge service and they had no info about this concert....finally discovered I was talking to BofA AmEx service.

I've been offered a Platinum AMEX several times, I always turn it down because of the annual fee, maybe next time I'll reconsider! Although for an annual fee of $450 I'd HOPE to get at least a free Buffett concert out of it!

Did not know that B of A had anything to do with issuing AMEX cards, all my bills for my Jet Blue card come from American Express. Interesting

Same thing here, the annual fee is just too much. That would pay for 2 - 3 JB tickets.

I don't think my entire Raleigh trip cost that much 2 years ago. Same with Tampa. :o

How did news of this 'offer' make the front page of BN as "news" (i.e. "This will happen")??

Anybody got confirmation on this? (No offense, but I mean someone with more than 5 posts?) :o

I have tickets to see Peter Mayer on December 6th in Erie, PA - last I looked, Peter was still in the CRB, no? And according to the Margaritaville schedule, Jimmy will be performing 12/4 & 12/5 - when's the last time Bubba did 3 shows in 3 days? How is it that tickets allegedly became available on 11/8 and NO ONE reported anything until 11/16? My gosh, this site knows when JB took his last, uh, "constitutional" but somehow a "free" show escaped us for so long?

This beer smells skunky... (Larry, feel free to insert a Landshark joke.)

Unless I missed something?
A most mysterious calling harbour
So far, but yet, so near
Where I see the day
When my hair's full gray
and I finally...disappear. BUT NOT YET!!

I was forwarded a copy of a confirming email from "tixsupport@toyotacentertix.com". The email includes a confirmation number. It also says the following:

1) "Your e-tickets will arrive via e-mail on Thursday, December 02, 2010";
2) "...if you need the assistance of Customer Care please contact us by phone: 866-446-8849." (I looked the number up and it belongs to the Toyota Center - 1-866-4HOUTIX);
3) "Amount Charged To Your Credit Card: $0.00."

It assigns me two seats in section 112 (not great seats but I will gladly take them). Anyone else get this email, and if so, where are your seats?
Buy the ticket, take the ride.

I just talked to my friend's girlfriend who works there, and she mentioned the passcode she was given for internal use was 'parrot head'. As of now, it is disabled, but she said after Dec 2nd, when the Amex tickets are emailed out to those who registered, the passcode will be activated so "fillers" can part-take in any empty seats. I hope she is right. I am so looking forward to this..... YES!!!!!!!

We don't have an amex card. We do have WONDERFUL friends, who we do owe dinner and drinks to! Now time to start getting into the pre-concert spirit. Sitting on top of my heater in my office, just turned on Radio Margaritaville, sipping my diet cherry dr. pepper and suddenly the Houston Medical Center is starting to look like the water off the beach at Tulum... oh wait, that's not sand I'm seeing, it's smog...never mind. :pirate:

Oh yeah, section 116. But considering I don't have an amex and I didn't pay anything for them--I am a very lucky woman! [smilie=happyspin.gif]
