I must admit that wheat beers have grown on me.......I'll see if the local distributor has this. Thanks!VanillaGrl wrote:I haven't really tried any seasonals lately. I did just see this one though, a little late, but I may try to find it and give it a whirl, as I do like a good wheat ale in the summertime.
Bell's Oberon Seasonal Wheat Ale
Hey, it's good to have a seasonal plan for your beer consumption! Enjoy that 5 Malt......Rabbitz wrote:During Summer I will finish off my malty goodness that is an "Oktoberfest" style ale.
When this is gone I fall back to my Porter or my 5 Malt Amber Ale.
During our 'colder' months I keep a few of my double choc stouts ready for action.
Throughout the year I have a my goto Czech Pilsner handy.
Geez, its been a few years since I have bought packaged beer from a Bottle'O'.
Awww crickey, now I will just have to open a bottle of 5 Malt, I wish I hadn't read this thread (not).

A local brewer, Heavy Seas (Hugh Sisson's place, used to be called Clipper City), makes a delightful pumpkin ale called Great Pumpkin. But wait there's more, they also make a bourbon barrel cask-conditioned version with twice the malt and hops called Greater Pumpkin.Bfan53again wrote:I've had some of the pumpkin ales from Sam Adams and Blue Moon this Fall......pretty tasty!
Anyone else tried these or other brands?????
It's time for us to start looking for Shiner Holiday Cheer. Merry Merry Time.conched wrote:Also we can get Shiner Holiday Cheer brewed by the Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas right here in HEB Grocery Store.
Happy Holidays from the "Little Brewery" in Shiner, TX. We hope you enjoy your Shiner Cheer, an Old World Dunkelweizen brewed with Texas peaches and roasted pecans. The malty flavors of this dark wheat ale are enhanced through the use of malted barley and wheat. And Kräusening ensures a smoothness that makes the subtle peach and pecan flavors all the more satisfying. May your days be merry and bright and your Shiner be ...

When I do find that available I willl go ahead and spend the $75 on a caseVanillaGrl wrote:I still have some Shiner Holiday Cheer left over from last year. While it's not bad, it isn't really a favorite of mine.
