Hi all...
I am wondering if anyone has experience getting a beer deck at Alpine Valley? If you know how this works, please respond.
Thanks in advance,
RD

There are about a dozen decks that hold 12-18 people on the side of the amphitheatre at Alpine. They have their own bar and bathrooms attached!

What azeeem said — although those decks will hold more like 40 or 50..... think in terms of a charter-bus load. Here's a pic — from a Phish concert, I think — taken from one of the decks looking towards the stage:

and here's an aerial shot of the venue; the beer decks are tiered along the far left-hand side of this picture (the r/h side of the seating area as you look to the stage) and aren't really visible in this shot, but it gives you an idea of where they would be situated. It also gives you a great look at the parking situation, and the general lay of the land.

If you look back on the "Who's Going to Alpine Valley?" thread from last year there was a guy trying to sell one or two tickets to a beer deck. It would at least give you an idea of the price.

A friend of ours had one of the decks for a few years. From what I understand anyone who booked the deck from years past had the opportunity to book for the next season show. If you forgo then you lose your deck for future concerts.
They are really spacious, you have your own bartender (beer only) and port-o-pot. We did discover that you could just walk up the decks (there is an opening to each deck in the middle) for easy access out of the venue.
Security was really good about checking to make sure there were no party crashers trying to get on your deck (and they worked it all night long believe me)
Lastly, great entertainment watching the drunks rolling down the hill.
