Yes, Jimmy drives. I don't know a thing about the passenger cars he might have, but he definitely drives the "Green Tomato." More pictures and info on Margaritaville.com under Jimmy's journal where he writes about his trip from New York to Florida. Some how Jimmy does not strike me as the car collector type.

On the Gypsies in the palace question here are two more names to toss around.......Michael York or Vince Melamed, a keyboard artist who worked with Jimmy then.

Don't know if he still has it but he used to have a "little Nash car."

Yes, the infamous "Nash" from Semi-True Story. And here is his little falcon convertible that Savanah Jane liked to ride into town with the top down.

Jimmy most definitely drives. On the east coast he has tooled around in "the green tomato" more than a few times on the outer banks of Carolina and also in Florida.

A couple of years ago he called into Radio Meglaritamart and talked with Carson Cooper (I think it was Carson) for quite a while he drove himself in a rental up the Pacific Coast Highway.

In the intro to Wildflowers at the 2008 Vegas show, Jimmy talks about driving down the PCH with Savannah after surfing in Bolinas.

A bit convoluted, but fuel to the fire for the "Michael York" thought (also interesting tie in to "Riddles in the Sand)
