Re: 2011 SHOPPING REPORT
We were doing our cyber shopping and ran across this new Margaritaville Folding Chair. It seems to be a new item since they are taking pre-orders. The site says that they will ship at the end of November.

I asked one of the 'keets to get Daddy a new tailgating chair. I asked the other 'keet for a Beachfront Radio tye-dye tshirt.

Well today I just received my Coconut Telegraph and was thrilled to find advertised a 2012 calendar. It has alternating pics of JB and Key West!
Item # 4000
Price: $21.95
To order call: 1-800-COCOTEL
I got my calendar in the mail today. Merry Christmas to myself.

Jimmy Buffett & Key West Calendar is very well done with a special treat being the little personalized parrothead license plates from different states on each page. The photos/images by Rob O'Neal are really good.

Re: 2011 SHOPPING REPORT
All holiday decorations are on clearance at Lowes. One local store is almost ALL sold out.
They have two inflateable decorations I really liked. One is Santa with a surf board. The other is Santa in an RV and Santa comes out the door of the RV.

Re: 2011 SHOPPING REPORT
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I forgot about the light up palms
I didn't see the blow up Santa on the surf board. It would go swell with my Santa in the hammock between two palm trees
Kohls also has stuff clearanced and they had some tropical things. Hobby Lobby's stuff is 1/2 off and they had a few tropical ornaments as well. Not that it much matters as I think about it since tomorrow is Christmas Eve...oh well...

I'm glad your reporting on these sales. It is possible one could still get to one of these stores. Also check out the web sites in case the tropical items are on there as well. Then there is always the day after Christmas.
It is a good time to buy now and use them for gifts next year!!

Re: 2011 SHOPPING REPORT
We received our Margaritaville Outdoor Folding Tailgating chairs for Christmas. We live on the beach in a tourist town and we have seen every kind of beach/tailgating chair made. So speaking from experience, these are the best darn chairs we have every seen. Sturdy isn't the word for the construction. Instead of a typical "x-brace" as most chairs use, these have a system of support that basically leaves you sitting in a sling. The folding and support mechanism is hard to describe other than to say its engineering marvel. The canvas material for the seat and back is super thick and strong. The back also includes an inflatable head rest. Very comfortable. The left side armrest has a zippered/velcro cooler pouch, large enough for three or four beverages and ice. We can't wait for our next sunny day to try them out. Even without the 30% discount, these chairs are worth every penny. Whoever Margaritaville has contracted out to produce these chairs needs a J.D. Powers award.

Opening the shopping thread for 2012. Not opening a new thread so we have easier access to past posts in case we need to refer to them.

Re: 2011/2012 SHOPPING REPORT
Bon-Ton reduced all their tropical holiday ornaments down to 70% clearance the week before Christmas. All the tropical stuff was gone when I was there at that time. So for future reference make a note for next year to check for the good prices a week PRIOR to the holiday!!

Re: 2011/2012 SHOPPING REPORT
So what were some of your favorite Parrothead themed gifts you received this Christmas?
Here are a few of my favorites.
Shark shaped scrubbie holder. The mouth is open and is where the scrubbie sits!!
Tiki Bar statue (originally meant for a fish aquarium) We're using it as decoration in our Parrothead room
A metal and wood 3D flip flop shaped wall hanging that says kick back and relax
A black plush throw with white Hibiscus print
