Had one of these from McDonalds from about 40/45 yrs ago, (got it as a kid) and have used it for many many things from serving my sick kids in bed, to carrying stuff out to the deck, bringing cakes to parties, to holding plants on my bureau when I was a kid ..It has disappeared in the past year or so, I think because of one of those same sick children took it somewhere and forgot to bring home one of mom's most treasured, comfortable items!!!! Definitely not an expensive item, but just something that was very comfortable to use for so many different things.

Also have 2 Texas Ware bowls that were my grandmothers. Everything prepared in them tastes better, cake mixes, salads, barbecued chicken wings, meatballs and sauce.....mmmmmmm

The tray and the bowls are just so comfortable for so many things, they're the right size, and weight, and oh so easy to handle.

And I remember drinking from those aluminum cups too.....oh did they keep the ice water cold!!! :D

Fun thread Wayne, sorry for your loss :(

I know I've seen them in stores within the past couple years, not sure if it was at Target or not, but a quick search on-line and I found these at Target

one of those Visions ones that went from the Oven to the Micro to the stovetop to the Dishwasher.. pretty good sized.. (5 L)
I will miss it.. (not sure I will replace it last price I got was $65 + S/H)
Mom gave it to me because " It Scorches everything I cook in it"
Well yep it would do that.. BUT if you just used it to boil stuff
or in a low heat setting .. or to warm up stuff in the Micro.. it was great
(also a very nice mixing bowl)
I called Mom and as we were talking about it.. She said "I'm sorry you broke a pot that you loved"
I kind of thought for a minute.. and said... "Mom I'm not sure I loved it but I was sure comfortable with using it, what it would do and what it wouldn't do.. NOW I have to learn how to use a
new pot

what do you think?? do you have things that you have had for so long
and use, that maybe you don't love but you know it's just the right tool for this or that and so are just comfortable with???
Santa....I don't know if this is the one, but it might be and if you bid you just might get a deal.
