They are scaring me!!!! I'm not used to being relaxed during a Met game!!!! We all know it will eventually end but love to see them do this to the Skankees over the weekend since they rely on Home Runs Citi Field is no Skankee Stadium!!! I for one will enjoy it while it lasts

Wonder if that has ever happened at the MLB level? I know it has in the Minors. 1st walk: runner caught stealing second. 2nd, 3rd, 4th walks load the bases. Then 3 consecutive outs. Will have to utilize my google on this one.

Johnny Damon now has more career hits than Ted Williams.

(And, as much as I love the guy, Johnny Damon didn't spend five of his prime playing years in the military getting shot at for his country).

My like for him was gone once he went to the Yanks. Plus, he always sounded as dumb as a brick when he did post game interviews.

Damon is one of only 11 players in the history of MLB to hit 500 doubles, 100 triples, 200 homeruns, and obtain 2,500 + hits (he will also pass Ken Griffey jr in hits but will do so with far less strike outs. Currently, Damon has struck out roughly 600 times less then Griffey) . . . not to mention he will soon pass 400 stolen bases. Johnny Damon needs HOF consideration (but since it should be called the Hall of Bullsh*t Homeruns . . . he won't).

(And before you say it . . . Ken Griffey jr. was a mediocre outfielder at best. A career .985 fielding percentage for a career right fielder {he played more games in right then in center} is average at best. Kirby Puckett, who was almost blind and played a few games at 2nd, 3rd, and SS, had a career .989 fielding percentage just to give a comparison . . . currently Damon's is also .989 and he played Center at Fenway. That means something).

According to baseball-reference.com, Griffey played 2145 games in center field and 231 in right field and a total of 4 of those games in right field were in the first 18 years of his career. He was pretty much a full-time center fielder until he was 36 years old. Damon hasn't been a full-time center fielder since 2006, when he was only 32.

5 more minutes of research will tell you that in over half of those games you listed Griffey did not play the entire game at center. He is an overrated joke.

1999 Reds (without Griffey): 96 wins.
2000 Reds (with Griffey): 85 wins
2001 Reds: 66 wins
2002 Reds: 78 wins
2003 Reds: 69 wins

So much for all them meaningless homers. No one player has lost more games then Griffey in the modern age of MLB. No one. He was signed by a 96 win team and did nothing to help them win . . . except strike out a ton and stand around in the outfield waiting for his next garbage time long ball.

I realize this was totally not prompted. But I was due for a Griffey is sh*t rant.

I don't know where you got those figures but again, according to baseball-reference.com - 2,114 games started in center field, 1,879 games finished in center field. If he started 2,114 games and finished 1,879 of them, that means he played the entire game 88.4% of the time.

And the 78 wins in 2002 and 69 wins in 2003? Griffey was injured both years and only played 70 games in '02 and 53 games in '03. If he hadn't missed well over 1/2 his team's games maybe they would have done better.
