AFC Divisional Game 1
Who will win this game?
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

This is going to be a good game. Pats win by a touchdown.
Twenty degrees and the hockey games on...

Re: AFC Divisional Game 1
Been texting with Jim (Captain P) this afternoon . . . fact is this:
1. I have been a die hard Patriots and Boston sports fan around here for a long, long time. I don't post around here even 1/100th what I used to but some might remember this.
2. Some might also remember that, after the Patriots lost to the NY Giants in the Super Bowl, I said "that was the best damn Super Bowl I ever saw. Still mean that. WHAT A GAME!!!
3. If the Jets beat the Pats 9 - 11 years ago I would have been p*ssed. But after:
3 Super Bowl Wins
4 Super Bowl Appearances.
1 NBA Championship
2 NBA Championship Appearances
2 World Series + the current Adrian Gonzalez and Carl Crawford signings
Bruins and Revolution teams who have been more then competitive . . .
I am just good with it.
I respect Rex Ryan, Revis, and Sanchez. I actually hope they win. The sold out their future to win NOW. They are doing just that. They just beat the best. BUT, as of right now, I am betting on the Packers.

Does anyone know if there has ever been two number 6 seeds in the Super Bowl? That is a possibility next week if both the Jets and Packers win.

Jon, the Patriots have been in 6 Super Bowls, not 4. The Giants aren't the only team that beat them. And this will be the 6th year in a row that the Super Bowl champion will be a team not called the NE Patriots.

Re: AFC Divisional Game 1
i know it was early in the game....but The Patriots 1st drive and the Brady interception changed the game....granted the Jets missed a easy field goal....but the Patriots were moving the ball and a Touchdown there , i think would have the Jets thinking here we go again....and the Patriots 2nd drive , they moved the ball and got a FG....i just think a touchdown on that 1st drive would of had the Jets guessing themselves....my opinion!!!.......also no pressure on Sanchez all day....you have to go after him , hit him a few times.

The story of this game was pretty simple. The Jests made the plays when they had to. The Patriots didn't.

I think that you know I don't need a history lesson. In fact, I KNOW, that you know that. You know that what I posted was in context of recent history. And the last sentence you typed is so obvious I can't even begin to explain to myself why you would waste the time to type it . . . other than to gain a reaction out of me: so here it is . . . I respect the Jets . . . my previous comment was meant, obviously, for the years 2000 and beyond . . . and, finally, the effort it takes to compile a post on this website in a manner that will not create some form of controversy is so beyond the time or energy I have that I literally just give up. I tap. I tap and tap again. Please come to Great Woods. I would love to offer you a beer. Sincerely.LIPH wrote:Jon, the Patriots have been in 6 Super Bowls, not 4. I think the Jets played similar to how the Giants played in the Super Bowl a couple of years ago.
