It always amazes me. We spend so much time planning and getting excited for these things. I know the last week before I flew up there seemed like it was taking forever. I was so excited to get up there. In the blink of an eye it was over, a week has already passed and I'm counting down to the next outing.

However, I am sitting at home drinking from a blue cup.

I'm watching "Singin in the Rain" hard to be in any kind of funk while watching Gene Kelly. He was a hunk.
He was beautiful and in a very manly way. I love "The Pirate". It's always been one of my favorites (co-starring Judy Garland). I still get it in from Netflix every once in a while. I should just buy a copy.

I think I'm going to take a cue from you and watch some old movies tonight. I watched Funny Girl a couple of weeks ago and fell in love.
With Barbra Streisand? nice legs, nose... not so much
Is there any other Funny Girl? I love her. I love her voice. I love that she was the one that "made people laugh". AND right now I even love that you described her as "nice legs, nose... not so much"...I just related to the character a lot.

I've been known to do a little "Don't Rain on My Parade" at karaoke. There's a place about 5 blocks from my house, Lipstick Lounge, and it's very, um... show-tune friendly. I have to do it before I've had any alcohol and it just about wrecks my voice for the night, but I can belt it out once. It's one of my favorite things to sing. (Yes, I'm a karaoke nerd, but at least I have a bunch of friends who are as well.) Come to think of it, I want to see some parrothead karaoke in Key west.

Well, Dave gave me samples of several different kinds of rum on Friday and they were amazing, but I couldn't tell you what any of them were. Saturday it was mostly Sailor Jerry, which is smoother than Captain. The glorious part came after I'd had about a half-gallon of it.

Todd, she's talking rum here. Dave & Carol brought back a bunch of different vanilla rums from St Barts and were gracious enough to treat us to a tasting. YUM!!

There was some M'bolo, Ma Dou Dou but several that were made by different restaurants on the island like Wall House and Gloriette (MY personal fave!)

Thank you for clarifying. I will now edit that post before somebody gets a hold of it.

The original:

And a newer version

Rumor is Lea Michele wanted a nose job when she was a teenager, and her mother said "If Barbra's nose is good enough for her, it's good enough for you."

I forget which one it was but one of them had a strong, smoky aftertaste, almost to the point of feeling like I was sitting next to an overflowing ashtray.

I actually think that might have been the one they made themselves.

Thanks again Dave.

Corks did have it and we served up some Rum Jumbies Saturday Night. I booked Jim Morris to play a private show for my wife's birthday party out on Plum Island and they were a nice addition to the drink menu. He put on an absolutely unbelievable show!

Can you get Rum Jumbie anywhere is NH or in MA? I could really use a bottle for this weekend.

Thanks!
