As of now, yes.
A place to stay is not the worry. Would a seasoned Jazz fest goer give the rest of us a bit of insight on tickets?

Its a general admission one day ticket. The ticket will have all the dates of the second weekend on it, but its goof for one day. The time and stage schedule comes out later, but its safe to say Jimmy will be the last performer of the day on one of the big stages. Whoever the other big act on the day will be on at the same time at the other end of the fairgrounds.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

That depends on what location you would like. Quarter and CBD $150 and up. Not many for $150. Around $180 a night. Now you can stay in Kenner and West bank around $80 on up. Check around. I am going for the Quarter and cab to the Fairgrounds. I have to get my plane ticket to Tampa first. After that I will get a room. $45 to see all that talent...CHEAP :)

We're going with a group that is going to buy the tickets through a bus company so you can get a bus ride over and back from hotel area.

We're at the Cotton Exchange Hotel. We're coming in on Wednesday. Here's what Jimmy's history has been at Jazz Fest:

Jazz Fest 2000 – Jimmy sang with Lyle Lovett at Jazz Fest and played 2 days in a row at the Margaritaville Café in New Orleans

Jazz Fest 2002 – Jimmy played MC NOLA 2 days before he played Jazz Fest

Jazz Fest 2006 – Jimmy played MC (Myrtle Beach) 2 days before he played Jazz Fest

Jazz Fest 2008 – Jimmy played MC NOLA 2 days before he played Jazz Fest

Want to be there by Thursday.......you know......in case........ 8)
