I cannot believe the publicity this is generating here in Australia.
I am get text messages all day from people here in Australia - as it is still headling the news - it was just the main story in the headlines on Ch7.
He has received more publicity in the last 14 hours than he would have done in his entire career out here!
as they say - any publicity is good publicity

oh .. yeah . .the president of our club Lionel - got interviewed this morning (was officially cleared through jimmy management) and will be on the news tonight on CH7.
He is the dad of Rachael - that is in the photos when Jimmy met us yesterday.
He will give a common sense version rather than the "oh we thought he was dead" thing that is going around

Just wish no one suffered pain for it! But he has gone from "Jimmy who" to "OMG Jimmy Buffett fell off the stage" overnight. Everyone KNOWS about it!
I was at my doctors this morning - he is chinese - figure the last thing he will know and he asked how I was and I said I was tired - been to a concert - he said which one "buffett" I said and he said "oh no, did you see the fall"

Part of the frenzy is probably because he has not been in Australia for about 20 years. What a way to come back down under!

I am glad that it seems the media is doing the right thing by him - he got out of hospital and back to where he is staying without any privacy intrusion. I hope it stays that way until he is ready to face the camera.

I was surprised it wasn't on Entertainment tonight last night.
BUT: THIS IS WHY THE COCONUT TELEGRAPH IS BETTER THAN "REGULAR" NEWS: CNN was reporting he'd fallen from the stage at one point yesterday, but didn't have any details. At that point, I already knew what the injury was and that he expected be released from the hospital the next day.
