How do you listen to music?
How do you listen to music? MP3 player, iPhone, radio, internet, vinyl?
If the 50’s and 60's were the era of the record, in the 70's we had tape, (lovely 8-tracks and cassettes!), and the Sony Walkman, then CD's in the 80’s and now MP3's.
This Day in Music is running a poll to find out how you listen to your music.

I'm not "too" modern. Car radio, mostly (not satellite, just "regular" FM radio). At home, I either listen to cd's or RM. When I walk, I usually have my Ipod going.

Re: How do you listen to music?
For short trips in the car, it is cd. For long trips or lots of errands, it is the ipod. Work or home, it is generally itunes or RM. Mowing the lawn, leaf blowing, snow blowing or walking..always with the ipod.

Re: How do you listen to music?
I have an mp3 player for working out or mowing the lawn.
I have a turntable in my garage that I use when I'm hanging out there drinking some beers with my buddies.
Sometimes in my house I'll listen to the Comcast music channels on tv.
But most of the time it's in my Jeep on mp3 cds so that I can cram hundreds of songs on one cd.

Re: How do you listen to music?
I listen lots of different ways.....I love having "vinyl wank" nights when Caitlin and I bust out the vinyl and dance.
I have an iPod for mowing the lawn, riding the harley, play it in the car a lot.....
Thanks to SYNC in my new car, I do like to stream Pandora if I'm going to be driving very long.....
I play my iPod through my surround sound system at home a lot.....just ask my neighbors.

Re: How do you listen to music?
I admit, I prefer live music.
Only time of day I listen to records is when I drive to work and back.
In the morning I take shortest way to work, listening to some nice country music CD's I have in my cars CD Changer.
Maybe when I have to concentrate on work, like writing a manual, I have streamed RM in my ears, but this very rare.
On my way back home, which most of the days I like to drive a detour, just to spend a little time thinking about the day just passed, I listen to some more CD's or a live record on my IPod.
Back home I love to have some american country music shows to listen to, radio or video.
Else I take out my vinyls and have a retro party...
But to answer the original question: I prefer vinyl records above all, mostly because of the sound quality.
Hints about where to get JB on vinyl in the Miami / Miami Beach area?
Anyone know Wishbone Ash?
Also welcomed here: Hints to download sources for Trop Rock / good Country Music videos/ shows. Since CMT Europe stopped a couple of years ago, we european country music fans live in a kind of diaspora you know...

Re: How do you listen to music?
It really depends on what I'm doing. I actually listen to talk radio more than anything.
iPod when I'm working out.
RM in the truck.
On Saturday nights I listen to www.us1radio.com they have a great show, it's a national show and I can't think of what it is called. Tonight is number one hits of 1979 not exactly their best show.

Re: How do you listen to music?
Depends. I've been actually listening to a lot of sports talk radio lately whether at work or in the car. But when I'm not, I do several things:
-I scan half a dozen FM channels and play something loud (in the car)
-Play a cd in the car (loud again)
-Use the TuneIn radio app for my phone when at home and listen to a radio station from some random city
-Listen to Sirius via Dish Network
-Play an mp3 from an external hard drive I have
