I'm here :wench: Found an awesome Italian place called LaRosa's for dinner. There's a neat little bakery next door that I'll have to try tomorrow. And besides, they have bright yellow "happy face" Tshirts, so I HAVE to go. :D

All packed up and ready to go. The wife and I will be getting there around 4 and heading over to CiP around 630 or so. How will we know who the BNers are?

Also, I don't mean to be a pain here, but is there a group from here meeting at one place to caravan over to the lots to tailgate? If so, where and what time?

Again, we are bringing veggies, fruit, chips and dip and booze. More than willing to trade our goodies for a dog or burger sometime during the day.

Please PM or email me the details.

Can't wait to meet everyone. I scored great 8th row seats from Ticketmaster. I hope the set list is good.

Randy,

Good to hear you will be going to Cheeseburger, the Cincinnati PHC is a bunch of good people and a good number of members will be there on the early shift....not sure exactly what time, i would guess after they get off work - Locals most always work on pre-buffett day. You should be good if you get there anytime after 5pm.

As for the tailgate, no we do not meet and caravan to the lots.....everyone just shows up at the lot on their time table. I don't think the lots open until 8am or after. I am pretty sure that Riverbend lot and Coney lots (south side of Kellogg avenue) do not open 10ish.

How do you know an BNer......some BNers do have a lanyard that says BuffettNews but not many wear them. I know I don't wear mine. What I recommend is just introduce yourself and enjoy yourself. Why don't you tell us what you look like so we can find you....it would be easier. :D

Food, it is nice that you are bringind some eats.....folks share down at tailgate....I dont think anyone goes hungry.

Nice job on the ticket location. I am sure you will enjoy every moment of the concert. [smilie=gt-happyup.gif]

Marty 3

everyone is welcome to come on by even if you don't want to eat. We should have plenty ez-ups although it looks like it wont be a skorcher like it was a few years ago.

Just let me know. Time to load the trailer, ugh.

Tom
Where will you guys be? Just me and a buddy are heading up that morning from Louisville and we'd like to find a few other BNers to have a cold drink or two with. We're bringing our own food so no worries there.

We wii be set up at the lot at Kellog and Sutton. We are usually not hard to find. We will have at least 2 20' flag poles flying 2 flags each (Land shark, 5 O'clock some where, Mville tequila and FINLAND tour flag) We also are usully the only ones that have a powder blue e-z up. We also may have our land shark e-z up up. (frame broke but we may have a replacement) We will have an rv and truck pulling the enclosed trailer. Stop by any time.

Fins up
Tom

Guess I didn't do the quote thing the right way... here is my reply......................

I will go in order to make this easy. The last few times we have gone to Cincy, we ended up being stuck in one lot where we could not tailgate. We had to schlep all of our stuff to a side lot and hang out there in the rain. The next 2 times we ended up parking around or in the race track lot and there was nothing going on there, so the wife and I spent the afternoon just hanging out and walking around from time to time. This time we were hoping to hang out with you guys like we do in Chicago. All park together and set everything up. I can understand that people get there at differnt times, there is nothing wrong with that.

So, since there is no caravan, where should we park? Which lot is better than we were before (and or) closer to the front door of Riverbend? I would say this is my biggest concern right now.

Since we never got the nametags or lanyards, my wife and I are both over 6 feet tall. She will be wearing a Buffett shirt, duh, and I will be wearing a Titleist hat (or Margaritiville). I am also fat. Shouldn't be that hard to pick out.

Yes, I got lucky through ticketmaster for once. We have been closer before, but these should work just fine. I think that this makes concert number 30 for me. It has been a great 13 years following him around the country.

I sent my contact information to someone. Please call or text if there are a few of you who would like to meet around 10 or so somewhere and caravan over. I will be on the road from 12 to around 4 but I will keep checking my inbox and the board when we get there and tomorrow morning.

Love me some Jimmy Buffett

The RM promos for this show now use the phrase "Mecca for Parrotheads" or something to that effect.

edit: "Cincinnati is the acknowledged Mecca..."
