Anxiously waiting for tour dates?! :o Can't believe no on else has written asking for Left Coast dates. Of course, most of us are used to this, East Coast getting their fill before we get the love out here. No hard feelings.

C'mon Bubba. Give us SOMETHING to let us know you're going to make it out to Cali!

Not too worry. Much like the swallows returning to San Juan Capistrano, Jimmy will indeed be making the usual west coast stops. If you are in the North of California, look for Shoreline in October.

I know he wouldn't bypass California completely, just getting jealous hearing about all of the East coast shows. Unfortunately I'll probably have to settle for Shoreline. Would love it if he would play Concord again. Or the new Uptown Theater in Napa! Come on Jimmy!

Yep, except for an April swing a couple of years ago, Cali is the Fall part of the tour with tickets going on sale late Spring.
After the Irvine PD trying to reinstate prohibition in the parking lot last year (walking 3 wide up the aisles making people empty their drink cups on the ground), I'm hoping for a return to San Diego, even though Irvine is only a short drive from home.

Funny that you posted this....My son and I were just looking all around to see if the California dates had been announced yet.

Yes, I expect October -- just in time for my birthday! :D [smilie=battingeyes.gif]

Not even holding my breath for a Seattle show . . . .

Jimmy has not played Seattle since 19freaking88!
Tacoma a couple of times, the Gorge, gawdawful White River, but 23 years since Seattle?

We saw Eric Clapton 10 days ago for about the 10th time since Jimmy was here last . . . . whatinthehell?

I'm keeping an eye out for West Coast dates too. Usually I get the good rumors early; I haven't heard anything yet.

I am hoping for a Southern CA date in the fall so I can visit my Dad and sister...or that will be my excuse to buy a flight out there.

While we've gotten a Springtime teaser or two over the past few years, Jimmy has decided to relegate California to the back of the calendar... and I hate it

The summer has passed and too often time the tailgate scene is one of coconut bras over sweaters :-?

It just ain't what it used to be... maybe Frisco or Alpine Valley is the place to be

Did Los Lobos open for him down there? They were good, but they sure put up some loud noise compared to the sweet notes that EC plays!
He's going to be 66 in a couple of weeks! The first time I saw him was '67 when he was still in Cream.

Not to mention the fires and floods...October is generally a crappy time in SoCal now...unlike the old days.

It seems like the weather has often been crappy at many of the east coast/midwest shows the last few years...maybe it's time to flip flop the schedule? (that ought to bring people out swinging!) [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif] :o

Alpine blows, it's seriously overrated in my opinion. It's an awful venue, poorly designed and lousy security. And I don't think the tailgate comes close to being top 5, maybe not even top 10, and I've seen Buffett at a lot of venues.

Los Lobos did open the show, and rocked...but the crowd was zombie-like dead...I was embarrassed for San Diego's lame reception.

EC was great and not so great, but don't get me wrong, his playing far surpasses so many others.
Maybe he was just a bit tired, but he was just lacking the abandon that he showed in more recent shows I'd seen.
His new band is great, but he didn't really have the "connect" with them that I saw when he shared stage with Doyle Bramhall, Derek Trucks, or Steve Winwood...

Larry, with you being the ultimate globe-trotting PH and also being an authority of all great tailgate experiences 8)

...where do you recommend a traveling PH catch a Buffett show anywhere across America?

(just can't afford Paris or London these day!)
