August concert Bristow Va

Post by SteveH06 »

Bristow Virginia concert August 27th 2011.
Just found out that Jiffy Lube, who is now in charge of old Nissian Pavalion, is not gong to allow tailgateing at the concert. Called Jiffy Lube and was told it was because of the Prince William County Police Department. I called the PIO of Prince William PD and they said that this was not true. They stated that the Pavalion was on private properity and they had no say on what happened on Pavalion properity. If you have tickets to this concert and plan to tailgate you need to call Jiffy Lube live and raise H---. In fact the PIO for the police department stated to me that she thought that is what a Buffett Concert was all about, the party before the show. I have been going to Bristow for quite a few years and this is a FIRST.
I hate to be told a bold face lie and to find out when my tickets arrived that on ticket it states NO TALGATEING !!

I wouldn't worry about it. Some venues tell that story every year in hopes of keeping the party down.
NOW the White River Amphitheater in Auburn Washington is another story. The one and only time Jimmy
played there they clamped down big time. Made people park bumper to bumper so there was no room to
set up anything.

Jiffy Lube isn't in charge of the venue. It's owned by Live Nation, Jiffy Lube just pays a sponsorship fee to put their name on the place.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

I wouldn't worry about this Steve. Jiffy Lube Live is also hosting the country mega ticket......5 concerts that are also famous for tailgating (although not as crazy).......the revolt would occur way before August. 8)
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"
