Hey, its true. Call em like I see em. Fact is simple: people of every profession and economic demographic do what people find so shocking in celebrities. You see 3 - 5 minutes of every month of their life on television and people feel they know them. It is all a calculated act. The cameras are only around when they want them to be. People love drama and they turn to actors/actresses/and rock stars to find it. When, in reality, I bet very similar things are happening right in your own neighborhood - no matter where you live.
And he got a standing ovation in Chicago according to a quick news read on yahoo. Showed up on time. Spoke clearly. Made his money. Hmmmmmmmmm?
I don't for a second believe that his most recent blow-ups with cocaine and prostitutes is any sort of act... he freely admits it's his lifestyle...and that's cool...it's certainly his right to "live life on the edge".
The people who are supporting/paying to see him right now probably fantasize about the lifestyle he is living.
The reality is ....that lifestyle got him fired from a damn good job.
He can claim all day that he is "winning", because he's certain that he's following in Howard Stern's footsteps, and is untouchable in his public's eye, but he's not the creative genius that Stern is. He reads other people's words.
After his tour of being interviewed (seriously?), what's he gonna be doing after that? ...a new sitcom? stand-up?
I just don't believe he'll be finding the opportunities nearly as lucrative or rewarding. ...Charlie Lohan, maybe?? hmmmm
