I can't believe people weren't entertained and nodding in agreement with a once-beloved, self-absorbed crack addict??

Hard for me to believe people forked over good money for this.....

Maybe this will help him look in the mirror, realize how totally messed up he is, and get help before it's too late....

Sure, he might bang p*** stars and strippers and use cocaine but I know teachers who do that. Not that uncommon. The rest is all a publicity stunt. It is all staged. People are like trained sheep and will believe anything on tv. The Jersey Shore is more real.

The fact is Charlie Sheen will make more money off his tour then any ten of combined over the next 20 years. His "act" resulted in a fortune . . . which was his intent the entire time. He is a great salesman and people bought it . . . not unlike some of us Parrot Heads and their wacky beliefs about Jimmy Buffett's lifestyle.

Unfortunately, Jon, I gotta disagree with you. He looks like sh*t. His show bombed last night and I won't be at all surprised if dates get canceled. If he doesn't get help and turn his lifestyle around I don't think he'll be rich, I think he'll be dead...

Oh, and JB's a businessman and an *awesome* entertainer. He may not be the beach bum he portrays but he takes in enough adventure travel to cool places that I wouldn't mind living his (real) lifestyle one bit.

I could buy into the "act" idea as well if he didn't look like an addict in the last stages. Some of it may be an act but it doesn't gloss over the fact that he's in trouble.

It was disclosed not long ago, that a good majority of tickets sold had been bought up by opportunistic ticket brokers, not the public. There's wide availability in "upcoming" tour stops. You think there's plenty more fools out there after this last night?

I'll predict this tour doesn't continue through next week.

All I know is this "tour" produced millions in sales. It sold out in Boston in like 5 minutes. I know he has been on talk shows in Britain (radio) where he has freely admitted that it is all an act designed to create a buzz through the media to generate income. He sounded me than coherent. I also know that if he is actually living the life he claims, and doing so for the past 15 or more years like he claims, then he would be dead or very ill. I believe he uses drugs. Millions of people do that. I don't buy the insanity. It is far too calculated. It appears staged. There always cameras around when "it" happens. And . . . he just made, according to a quick google search, 8 million off this tour. I don't like it. But his "Act" and it is an "Act" staged for the gossip magazine readers just produced him more money then I would need to live the next 40 years. Sad but true.

I have no doubt, by the way, that you are correct about his tour not lasting. The point here is that his behavior, which I believe was mostly staged (there are always cameras around when something wacky happens . . . hmmmmm . . . not to mention they are tipped off by his management as to where he will be and what he will be doing) created enough "talk" that he potentially made millions off it.

Considering most actors don't make a tenth of what Charlie Sheen made off this tour (8 million for nothing) in a lifetime (think about that) . . . I would say he nailed his promotion perfectly. The brokers taking a hit - gravy.

He is making money off this hand over fist. He is WINNING!!! Sorry to say it, but $50 bucks for one of his tickets, or $150+fees for one show for Jimmy, Obviously Charlie is doing something right. So his first show wasn't that great.... How many times has Jimmy's first show been not up to par...... or any others artists first show on tour......

Have to agree with Jen on this one. He is an addict in serious denial, and, with his addiction as out of control as it is, we can only hope he survives.

Detroit talk radio was talking about this show a couple days beforehand. 2 things stood out to me. 1 was that It was said that loads of the $50 tix were available for $20-something on StubHub leading up to the show (Scalpers takin' a bath ) and 2nd was that the people calling in said the point of them going was to witness THIS KIND OF A TRAINWRECK!

Hey, its true. Call em like I see em. Fact is simple: people of every profession and economic demographic do what people find so shocking in celebrities. You see 3 - 5 minutes of every month of their life on television and people feel they know them. It is all a calculated act. The cameras are only around when they want them to be. People love drama and they turn to actors/actresses/and rock stars to find it. When, in reality, I bet very similar things are happening right in your own neighborhood - no matter where you live.

And he got a standing ovation in Chicago according to a quick news read on yahoo. Showed up on time. Spoke clearly. Made his money. Hmmmmmmmmm?
