Why no Intermission?
Why was there no intermission in Tampa? Can anyone shed a little light?
Was it raining? Big man a little under the weather? Intermissions are always a fun time.
The concert was over a little too early in my opinion. If he pulls this no-intermission thing in West Palm Beach, I might have to drive down to Key West after the show before I head back to Carolina the next day.

Re: Why no Intermission?
I like it better with none. But that's just me.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

Same here. I love the constant music especially when I know the song to plan bathroom breaks

Re: Why no Intermission?
All the gigs in Oz were "one set" but when you do the maths it all ends up the same.
From a "concert momentum" point of view, from both on and off stage a show runs better without any artificial stops.
When was the last time you had a party and at a predetermined point you stopped the music, and told everyone to have a spell? Do you reckon the party would get going again?

Re: Why no Intermission?
Who gives a crap about if he has an intermission or not? Hold it, wear Depends, or don't drink so much!
He put together a great LONG set with something for everyone. Played a few of the standards, a few covers, some deep tracks, featured Mac and Nadirah, AND they were on...in MHO who could ask for more?

Re: Why no Intermission?
I personally like no intermission. The big man certainly did not seem under the weather last night. Some cities have noise ordinances where a show has to end at a certain time or the powers that be will shut down the power if the show runs overtime. If an intermission happens in these cities he would not be able to do a full show, and it would be rushed. As far as bathroom breaks and drink refills are concerned, I think a lot of people spend the majority of a show going for refills and going to the bathroom regardless if there is an intermission or not.

I love the fact there was no intermission. We had a great time...what a great tailgate and show.

Ditto, although that screwed me up last year, I thought "Surfin in a Hurricane" was next so I started up the stairs and then he went into "Mexico" and I had to stop mid trip!

The one band member who never left the stage the entire night was Mac. Jimmy took a one song break while Nadirah sang and everyone else got a break during Pirate.

Re: Why no Intermission?
Jimmy left the stage for one song, which he's done many times in recent years, and that served as his intermission. While he was gone Nadirah did the great old Bill Withers song "Use Me", which I really liked hearing. Intermission, no intermission, I don't really care.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here
