2011/2012 tour so far **Updated 03/11/2012**
The first twenty six shows of the 2011/2012 Welcome To Fin Land tour, and one benefit show, and JazzFest 2011 have come and gone and I thought I would present a brief review of the tour songs so far.
After the first twenty six shows, one benefit show, and Jazzfest, Jimmy has played 98 different songs out of a total of 100 songs played so far. The 98th song is the song Use Me sung by Tina and Nadariah and the 100th song is Creola sung by Nadariah. Here is the list of songs thus far for the 2011/2012 Welcome To Fin Land tour presented in order of appearances in the shows

Re: 2011 tour so far
I can't agree with the A+ for 2 reasons:
1. it leaves no room for improvement
2. as long as he's still doing 5 O'clock Somewhere, Southern Cross and Brown Eyed Girl every show I wouldn't give it an A-, let alone A+
Your mileage may vary

Great shows so far and let's hope we see him dust off some seldom heard songs.

SA Sr. and I were thrilled with the Tampa setlist. Love the older, rarely heard songs.

Re: 2011 tour so far
Based on criteria from the 15 or so other Buffett tours/set lists I have seen I would rank this tour one of his best. I agree with Larry that you can't give it an A + because there would be no room for improvement. In my mind, no tour will ever be an A + until Jimmy plays Tin Cup Chalice WITH the lost verse (and not the Margaritaville version). I know there is a TCC lost verse out there somewhere . . . floating around Mallory Square waiting to be heard. Don't ruin a man's dream, people!
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

Even with an A+, the tour could go up to A+++.
Loved when he closed WPB with TCC.

Re: 2011 tour so far
I've worked for managers that would never give the top grade for that same reason.LIPH wrote:I can't agree with the A+ for 2 reasons:

It certainly didn't make me work harder, as I knew the top grade was unattainable. Quite the opposite, in fact.
I hope Jimmy doesn't share my bad attitude, and continues to play the less "popular" songs.

Some were convinced it would be "The Party at the End of the World"........davein wrote:I thought we would hear "Party At The End Of The World" for sure last night.
