I was very pleased to stumble upon this while on vacation. Went for a table and was told 45 minutes, so I left. Came back later when I realized that there were no other decent options at Broadway at the Beach and recognized the voice as soon as I walked in the door. Got seated right away and was very happy with the surprise entertainment.
Anybody else there?

Isn't it nice when you are surprised in this day and age?FunkHouse9 wrote:I was very pleased to stumble upon this while on vacation. Went for a table and was told 45 minutes, so I left. Wanted to come up, but had obligations the next day and too far to make it home that night.
Who was with her?

Oh, it absolutely is! I was pretty disappointed when I got back to BN and saw that it had been an announced thing. In the moment, I thought I was seeing a little surprise gig. No idea who the guys were who played with her. I was going to try to get a pic with her between sets, but the timing didn't work out. Here's the best photo I got.BahamaBreeze wrote:Isn't it nice when you are surprised in this day and age?![]()

And, although the video is of my daughter dancing to the music, here's a teeny bit of audio/video from it.

That is her band... Outside Art.
Carlos Cahee on guitar, Rasheed Shakoor on drums, and Joshua Williams on bass.
Happy you were treated to a pleasant surprise, Funkhouse!
