Paige - I guess I am lucky there are no Austrian ex-bodybuilder, actor, politician living in my sleepy little college town.
Ditto. One thing I will never do is cheat. And I am really sure there are none living in my little sleepy town in Maine.

It is interesting that when contacted by the media lately, the woman involved stuck with the story that the child belonged to her then husband. I guess Arnold forgot to tell her he was going to hold a press conference and out them. :-?

What an unfortunate mess for all the kids....

And he had the nerve to run for governor with this skeleton rattling around in his closet.

NightLine interviewed the dude from TMZ....the prediction is that the first picture of the child and his mother could be sold for 1/2 to 1 million .... this kid is screwed.

If the kid is 14 and the woman was pregnant at the same time as Maria, that is a slap in the face of Maria.

I have no tolerance for people who cheat in their marriages. If it is so bad, then get out. If you cheat, be a man or a woman and fess up to it.

On the other side - it is said that there is a biological reason for cheating. One of the basic concepts in science is to spread as many of your genes to future generations. The more offspring you have, the more of your genes will live on. It is said that is what drives men to cheat. They are not considered "masculine" if they don't have a lot of offspring by different females. In a lot of species, when a new male takes over a group of females, he will kill the offspring of the previous male.

For women, it goes back to the maternal/nurturing thing. Females are usually the ones who are the main caregivers to the offspring. They are looking for someone who can "provide" food, shelter, resources, etc. for them. A good example for this is back in the neanderthal time. When a man went out to hunt, there was a good possibility he wouldn't return. So the women kept a man on the "side" so when her mate died, he would take care of her and her offspring.
I must be wishing on someone else's star....

Now the story is that the woman "pursued" Ahnuld and evidently overpowered a bodybuilder into forgetting his vows and having unprotected sex.

Why anyone would care what anyone else, specifically some stranger whose fame gets him or her into the gossip magazines, does in their sexual life is beyond me. Why would this matter to anyone?
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

Whatever the circumstances of this affair and this child's birth were/are....NO ONE has the right to out the identity of this child and where he lives. :x :x :x So a juvenile criminal has the right to have his/her identity protected due to being a minor, but an innocent kid whose only crime is being the victim of his parents' stupidity and infidelity doesn't?? :-? We really are a f'd up society.

...or on the complete other bizarro-land side of this circumstance (because NOTHING is sacred in our society anyways, right?)

What if this kid can sing, or is in a band, or can play ball, or is photogenic?

This could be like a stumbling onto a "lottery ticket" for the kid...his introduction to a papparazzi-fed world who can't wait to meet him.
You're gonna watch Idol tonight, aren't you? America eats this stuff up like biscuits n' gravy, so....
What if this kid is actually ready for this moment?

Sounds insane, right?....or is it?

Three words for him: DIRTY RAT BASTARD.

He and John Edwards should open a club.

Point taken, but shouldn't it be his choice to come forward if he's ready? He never had the chance.

And for the record....I don't watch Idol, and I've only had biscuits and gravy twice. [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]

And yeah, nothing is sacred. :-?
