I am still a big screen virgin. This must be rectified in Tampa.
...and I really missed you, Ms. Lesley. Saved you a chair and everything...lol!! You need to make it back up this way next year. However, hubby and I are talking about a trip to Key West for next year, possibly in the spring. Would love to get together!

PA Parrot wrote:What a great weekend at Great Woods!! It was wonderful seeing all of you again. Special thanks to Dave and Barb for giving us a place to stay. We wouldn't have made it without you guys. Thanks so much!

The weekend started with a totally uneventful drive. . . it only took us about 6 and a half hours to get there (as opposed to the 9 and a half last year). No traffic at all. Same with the trip home.

Pre-concert party at the Red Roof was a lot of fun. Got to hang out with some really great people for a few hours. The BN people were ok too  .We surprised a few by being the "secret guests". . . (possibly disappointed others, but if so they didn't tell us  Thank you for that). I honestly think Tig might have been slightly surprised (mission accomplished?). Andrea had a nice welcome for me. . . "You a$$----" I still like her though, but I'm not sure why   I think Lori And Debbie might have also been a little surprised to see us?

The tailgate. . . what can you say? Perfect weather, great food (thanks again to Dave at Gunther's Grill), great people, great show. So much fun to spend the day with all of you. We got to meet quite a few BN-ers we never met before and hang out with others who seem like they have been life-long friends. Special thanks to Tam, Chris, and Chef Dave for their hard work coordinating things. Thanks to Barb and Nancy for their waitressing (even though Nancy's service was a little slow and rude  Nice meeting you Nancy!)

I've picked on a few of you, but in all seriousness....the Great Woods Buffettnews Contingent is amazing! If anyone ever wonders if it's worth it to make the trip. . .IT IS! Do it! You will be welcomed and treated like family.

Only about 365 days give or take until we can do it all again!
Now I'll have to go all Jersey on your azz...

I missed you guys terribly this weekend. I will most assuredly make it back up next year. It just wasn't in the cards with the move and all.

I swear, GW '11 is the only time I have ever needed a chair or a nap. I've made some incredibly bad decisions at Buffett shows, but I've never been in that kind of shape. I appreciate you thinking of me this year. Next year I plan to remember much more of the day. :)

Come down anytime!

Was hitting the wall a bit on the way home, but made it back safe and sound! That drive up to Boston was horrible, but it was well worth it to have a weekend like we just had.

That cannot have been a fun drive with all this weather...glad you made it back safely.

Perhaps the Red Roof can mail your liver up?

Good thing I could work on my tan yesterday and cover that yellow glow I was developing. It was great seeing you and having you as a waitress. Come to find out I forgot to tip you and help Mitch with his next tattoo fundraiser.

You only make the exception for Duckett?
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Wow....after reading the last couple pages, I can't believe how many people I still didn't meet! Amazing how many of us were there. Anyway, maybe next year I'll meet more of you, sad it didn't happen this year, but gives me something to look forward to for next year. Happy to report too that I did finally get to meet Len, Totally by accident!, after question his whereabouts throughout the day and hearing for the umpteenth time that "oh he was just here, he went that way". We had just finished our group shot, and some guy walked by with a really great handpainted margarita glass at my eye-level, I stopped him to inquire about his glass, when I believe I spied his nametag hanging off his neck, IT WAS LEN!!!!!, I was quite happy to have stopped they guy with that margarita glass....nice to finally have met you LEN :D

Maybe we need to add a pre-show Meet & Greet in the Shaws lot.

Did I see Big John in someone's FB pics? P*ssed if I missed him. Those poseurs in their admirals outfits didn't even come close.
