Yes, Nancy, you were so great!! Dave and Barb, everything was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel badly that you are at that spot all day. Of course we'd love you to "do it all over again" but don't be afraid to say it's too much and stop. You need to enjoy the tailgate and roam if you wish.CreolaInMySoul-a wrote:Thanks to Nancy Gunther's Grill will have to be renamed to Gunther's Grill and Cateringgunthermoose wrote:you tell em Nancy...You rocked Saturday !

tig, what time did you leave?? Our ride wasn't too bad until we hit Braintree. It started raining I think a few towns beforehand. Instead of going through Beantown I took 128 up to 93 (work is off 93 and 495).tigzoe wrote:Was hitting the wall a bit on the way home, but made it back safe and sound! Glad you made home okay. It was fun seeing you again. We need another phlocking soon...not to mention Woodman's

Just found a free wifi here at the Wellfleet library. Took me maybe an hour to catch up on this thread...
First of all:
Thank you all for this awesome weekend! These three days were totally worth every minute of travel.
You guys are so awesome, welcoming Irene as a member of the Phlock even if she isn't on BN yet! She felt very comfortable being with everybody and had a very good time!
Please forgive her not talking much, biut english is a new language for her and thus she's a bit shy talking. But she understood most of our conversations!
Dave, thank you for your superb coocking! Thank you for all the work and effort you put in that!
mommar, thank you for the Oreos! Will take them home and remember you and this GW weekend every time I eat one!
Carol, thank you for the fire permit! This was so beautyful!
Again, all of you, thank you for having us with you, we had a wonderful time!
See y'all next year!
(P.S. Photos will follow as soon as we're home!

Mike, it was great to see you and Irene again. ALthough I didn't see you very much on Sat. since I was so hot and didn't walk far from our set up. Please tell Irene that I can relate to her situation. Dave speaks French so well and I don't know how to speak very much, too shy and nervous in front of a native. Plus I learned spanish first. When we go to St. Barth's Dave speaks with everyone and I listen in like Irene. I can understand quite a bit verbally and written. Glad to know she can get the converstation us crazies have. Hope she got some laughs last night. Safe travels across the pond.

We do need to add the boat! I could stretch it into Tuesday if need be! Walking down those steps in the dark made it tough. But it isn't easy coordinating all of us to be at the right place at the right time. Again...awesome idea about the fire!MacPhin wrote:tigzoe wrote:I don't blow thingsThe Five O'clock Parrott wrote:you could have joined me blowing a tire on 93 this afternoon! glad everyone seems to have made it back safe!tigzoe wrote:Was hitting the wall a bit on the way home, but made it back safe and sound! Another fabulous tailgate/concert/weekend. It was great to see everyone but, like Mo, I realize I missed SO many people I wanted to say hi to. Next time! A hundred thousand thank-yous to Dave for another INCREDIBLE spread! Who else but us had ICE CREAM after the show?? Big thanks to Barb as well, and to Nancy of the catering staff.
The Cape was great. THANK YOU to Carol for the fire permit! For me it was the highlight.
I wish we could do this about 3 or 4 times a year!! Um, why is Chef Dave looking at me with a homicidal glint in his eye??

If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Re: Who Went to Great Woods 6/23/12 ?
All I want to do today is sleep! Pushing through the unpacking and grocery shopping but I wanted to stop a minute and thank everyone for a great weekend!
- Dave......you're a food god!!! Everything was delicious and thanks for looking out for me so I could eat!
- Tammy.....organizing the drive in was nothing short of herding 30 cats! And we all made it!!!
- Carol......the bonfire on the beach was as fun as the concert! Brilliant idea that needs repeating!
- Everyone........for making Mackenzie feel so at home and welcome. She had a great time and was texting her friends who decided not to show that they missed an epic party. She also told them that some of us......who shall remain nameless......could easily drink them under the table and "they did it for 3 days!"
She now has the beginning ideas for her doctoral thesis in psychology and is sure to be conducting interviews at future concerts!
Never got my t-shirt at the Beachcomber...........oh well.......I'll be back!

It was great meeting you and your posse! It seems like Mackenzie is a well rounded keet that took it all in stride. We do partake in interviews but only before Tam shows up. After that, the recorders are turned off and notepads go away. See all of you next yearCarolinadreamin' wrote:All I want to do today is sleep! Re: Who Went to Great Woods 6/23/12 ?
I don't have much to add to what everyone has already said. Dave, we love and appreciate you more than you can know - NO ONE had a better spread than we did.
The nighttime bonfire at Marconi was amazing, I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard for that long. I swear my stomach muscles ache like I've been doing situps.
I left the Cape around 9 and ran into some horrendous storms on the way home. But at least it washed the salt off the car from being parked at the beach all day on Sunday. Now back to packing and getting ready for the move.
I love my BN Phamily - I'm only sorry I didn't get to talk to more of you - seems that always happens, and this year it seemed we all stayed put under the EZ ups more than usual
Great setlist, incredible energy from the crowd and you could tell Jimmy was eating it up, if he'd smiled any bigger his ears would have fallen off.
Thanks Jen for finding and buying those seats without asking me first and risking losing them. I'm putting the money aside for next year NOW!
And thanks to Al for the weather![hearts [smilie=hearts.gif]](./images/smilies/hearts.gif)

Re: Who Went to Great Woods 6/23/12 ?
I don't know why I'm posting this, but what the hell, I'm in one of those rare fantastic moods, and I don't care if I'm scorned or not, but here's part of an e-mail I just got this morning from a certain bandmember of a certain singer who perfomed at a certain venue in a certain New England state on Saturday night.:
Hi, Garry. It was nice hearing from you again. Thanks for the Kona coffee.
Yes, all went well with our show in Mansfield, MA. In fact, most of us thought it was the best show we had done in quite a while. Of course, a more enthusiastic audience can make you feel that way and they were definitely enthusiastic!!!
Take care, and I will look forward to seeing you in Chicago.
Doyle
Do with it what you will, but, even as someone who wasn't there, I thought it was nice of him to say that.
