[quote="Wino you know"]I don't know why I'm posting this, but what the hell, I'm in one of those rare fantastic moods, and I don't care if I'm scorned or not, but here's part of an e-mail I just got this morning from a certain bandmember of a certain singer who perfomed at a certain venue in a certain New England state on Saturday night.:
Hi, Garry. It was nice hearing from you again. Thanks for the Kona coffee.
Yes, all went well with our show in Mansfield, MA. In fact, most of us thought it was the best show we had done in quite a while. Of course, a more enthusiastic audience can make you feel that way and they were definitely enthusiastic!!!
Take care, and I will look forward to seeing you in Chicago.

So you want me to pick something up for you at the 'comber store??

Do with it what you will, but, even as someone who wasn't there, I thought it was nice of him to say that.
Thanks so much for sharing this.

He keeps watching out for us. We were probably a few miles away from another hail storm to say the least!!!!ScarletB wrote:I don't have much to add to what everyone has already said. Dave, we love and appreciate you more than you can know - NO ONE had a better spread than we did.
The nighttime bonfire at Marconi was amazing, I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard for that long. I swear my stomach muscles ache like I've been doing situps.
I left the Cape around 9 and ran into some horrendous storms on the way home. But at least it washed the salt off the car from being parked at the beach all day on Sunday. Now back to packing and getting ready for the move.
I love my BN Phamily - I'm only sorry I didn't get to talk to more of you - seems that always happens, and this year it seemed we all stayed put under the EZ ups more than usual
Great setlist, incredible energy from the crowd and you could tell Jimmy was eating it up, if he'd smiled any bigger his ears would have fallen off.
Thanks Jen for finding and buying those seats without asking me first and risking losing them. I'm putting the money aside for next year NOW!
And thanks to Al for the weather
The drive home stunk with the rain, but it was all good. I had an awesome weekend relaxing with friends. Everyone asks me about the concert and I keep telling them it was awesome, but the chilling at the beach all day with friends made the weekend. For those that didn't stick around, I suggest you do it next year. LOL...we need someone to carry the wood

I think everyone has touched on everything so far... as I'm finally sitting in front of my computer and able to catch up (20+ pages peeps!? dang!!!). The list of thank you's is huge! But biggest is to say thanks for making my bestest friend Sarah, my roommate Steve and of course my mom all feel welcome! Mom has known some of you a few years now and she "gets it!" ahaha.. but this was her first Beachcomber trip! She said she'll be back for sure and is even talking about renting a house for the week after to share with BN and then our family! This is huge as she has not been back to the Cape since my dad passed away. It was always just too hard and easy to just not go there. She sat down on the beach by herself for a few and just soaked it up and let the bad out, the good in. Thanks for helping her through that even though you didnt' realize you were! You guys are amazing! And also thanks for understanding if I had to linger a few places and was late catching up.. it was a very emotional day but in the end was simply perfect!
and wow.. that fire rocked!!!! we are soooo doing that again!
love you guys! xoxo ~ tonga

Re: Who Went to Great Woods 6/23/12 ?
Oh boy, where to start?
It was great to finally meet some of the people I have been posting to over the last few months. You were very welcoming and made my wife and I comfortable from the moment we arrived at the pool.
The tailgate started so organized and made it easy to enjoy yourself. I had a great time sharing my crazy tailgate inventions and visiting up and down the rows with everyone. Maybe next time it won’t go so fast.
The show had some amazing songs, the acoustic set when they all sat was a particular highlight. But hands down, the best part of the show was when I heard the entire venue singing along with the big guy. I have never witnessed every single person actually knowing the words and singing along. It was a very special and spiritual thing for me that still gives me goosebumps when I think about it.
Your encouragement to spend a few days in Cape Cod was one of the best leaps of faith I have ever taken. Denby and I got to really relax and have a great time. The Beachcomber, whale watching, Provincetown, beach campfire, and eating lobster rolls from a different place for every meal are all great memories.
Thank you all for making the weekend everything I hoped it would be.

Thanks for sharing Garry. It was a fun show.I don't remember the crowd ever being quite so over the top - the applause at several points seemed to go on forever.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!

I think it being her 6th concert and the fact that she has flown to Alpine Valley twice to see Jimmy qualifies her as a full blown Parrothead!SwissParrotHeads wrote:Love. That. - Dave......you're a food god!!! Everything was delicious and thanks for looking out for me so I could eat!
- Tammy.....organizing the drive in was nothing short of herding 30 cats! And we all made it!!!
- Carol......the bonfire on the beach was as fun as the concert! Brilliant idea that needs repeating!
- Everyone........for making Mackenzie feel so at home and welcome. She had a great time and was texting her friends who decided not to show that they missed an epic party. She also told them that some of us......who shall remain nameless......could easily drink them under the table and "they did it for 3 days!"![]()
She now has the beginning ideas for her doctoral thesis in psychology and is sure to be conducting interviews at future concerts!![]()

Never got my t-shirt at the Beachcomber...........oh well.......I'll be back!
Mackenzie is a well behaved Parrothead In The Making I believe.Hope to spend a bit more time talking to her next year!
It was nice meeting you and your family, hope to see you guys again next year!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"
