ExxonMobil pipeline spill into Montana's Yellowstone River

Looks like they hired BP executives to assist in determining the amount of oil actually spilled:

ExxonMobil spokeswoman Pam Malek said the pipe leaked an estimated 750 to 1,000 barrels of oil for about a half-hour before it was shut down. Other Exxon officials had estimated up to 42,000 gallons of crude oil escaped

I think one of my exes used to work there years and years ago. I'm sure I can find some way to blame him.

doesn't really matter. While it sucks, and yes it does.. The Yellowstone is a great river for rafting and definitely scenic; folks in Laurel, and Billings to about the same extent operate on the "I don't care if they vent pure hydrogen sulfide and phospene gas into the air, the smell from the refineries is 'money'". The up side is that the current Gov has a bit of an environmentalist background and belief, unlike some of the Rethugs who believe that trees cause pollution.
