2011 NCAA Football
Yesterday was officially 60 days until the Aggie home opener! You know it was time to start this thread.
Are you ready for some football? Whoop!

Re: 2011 NCAA Football
Although I sure don't want to wish the summer away, I'm ALWAYS ready for college football. Especially with Nebraska joining the Big 10. It's gonna be fun.
(And yes, I know-the Big 10 now consists of 12 teams).

Re: 2011 NCAA Football
I went to a college that didn't have a football team, there's no big time college football in the NYC/LI area and I haven't had a TV in more than 3 years. College football is a mirage to me.
Shouldn't this be in Off Topic like the rest of the sports threads?
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

Re: 2011 NCAA Football
I'm going to have to pay attention to college ball this year if the NFL doesn't get it's schnitzel together. I won't make it without football.
I knew this girl made of memories and phrases, who lived her whole life in both chapters and stages.
Danced 'til the dawn, wished all her worries away.
She's a long way from a West Nashville grand ballroom gown.

Re: 2011 NCAA Football
I'm sure they are in their own way, Janice, but it's what the Big 10 needs right now. For the past several years, it's been the Big ONE, and, prior to that, the Big TWO.txaggirl91 wrote:Garry - these guys are nuts.
Now nothing is garunteed for any team. Which is how it should be.

It is Billy Ray or BR...
Not sure yet, I know we have 2 years in a row of winning that game.. Was there last year, might go to the ARK-LSU or ARK-BAMA game this year.. Going to Ohio State-Nebraska game & MU-KU games so far this season..
Depends if we go to Vegas in October for a lot of other travel things..

Re: 2011 NCAA Football
If I get free tickets, I will go to the game. One ticket is the same cost as my season tickets. The cheap ones are up in the nose bleed where you basically watch the game on the big screen. I will probably have a few friends over to watch it on tv.
It is going to be interesting to see if Texas has any kind of team this year. After their meltdown last year, it will be an interesting season to watch.

Re: 2011 NCAA Football
I'm excited.....the Badgers are legit contenders this year. They were looking like having a down year without any experience at QB (and the backups looked questionable), but then got NC State grad Russell Wilson to transfer in with a year of eligibility left!!!
Now, they have nearly the same team as last season's 7th ranked finish, more experience, and really only lost Tolzien, Watt, and Carimi to graduation! Granted, Watt & Carimi were first rounders, but they had replacements waiting. With the Buckeyes down, it's wide-open!!! Go Badgers!!!

I know you've got a nice stable of RB's but John Clay wasn't a bad back to have when you NEEDED a short yard or 2 to keep a drive alive or along the goaline!CaptainP wrote:I'm excited.....the Badgers are legit contenders this year. And THEN they played Iowa. (Stephanie and I watched that game from the Casino at the Flamingo in Las Vegas-she laughed and danced, I drank and drank). (And drank). (And cussed).CaptainP wrote:I'm excited.....the Badgers are legit contenders this year. Prior to the start of last season, all the arm chair professors here were talking a national championship for the Hawkeyes.
This year, if they finish 6-6, I'll consider their season a success. Especially with Nebraska on the schedule.

Ohio State decided they were very disappointed with their behavior, sent themselves to their room and gave themselves a spanking for their terrible actions. I wonder if they gave their Sugar Bowl check back?

someone had to pay the fine Gee said they would collect from Jimbo, before they decided to pay him for his last month of misleading statements and waive efforts to collect it from him.Tequila Revenge wrote:Ohio State decided they were very disappointed with their behavior, sent themselves to their room and gave themselves a spanking for their terrible actions. Re: 2011 NCAA Football
Talks are swirling again about A&M moving to the SEC.
The t-sip network has a lot of it's programming on hold. Broadcasting high school games in "select markets" violates a recruiting by-law in the Big 12. The markets are where they just happen to recruit.
They were also going to broadcast one of their Big 12 games. That goes against the Big 12 rules.
It will be interesting to see what happens to t-sip tv.
