Related Artist? Jack Johnson

Hey y'all

I just learned that Jack Johnson plays here in Switzerland this coming Sunday, at one of the most beautyful open air festivals we have. It takes place in the Italian speaking part of our country, in Locarno. The so called Moon And Stars Festival.
I actually wasn't aware who Jack Johnson is, just realized I heard (and liked) a lot of his songs being played here on national and local (private) radio stations a minute ago!
His youtube channel is playing as I type.

A question to you my friends: Anyone seen him live? Is he worth ~90$ for a live show ticket? I just found two for less than face on a Swiss auction platform and am wondering...

On another note, no more local beer here, so fallback plan comes into play. Have an expensiveish Samuel Adams (3.50$ a small bottle) now.

Cheers! Mike

I love, love, love Jack Johnson....I've seen him for the last two summers and he puts on a GREAT show. Zac Gill, who tours with him, is one of my favorites. I would drop $90 in a heartbeat to see him! I'm terribly disappointed he's not going to be here this summer, one of my favorite shows and a couple of the best summer nights I've ever had!

Add special guest "The Wailers" and it sounds like a good investment. You might have to cut back on the Sam Adam's!!

I'm going to assume that ~90$ isn't American Dollars. I love Jack Johnson, personally. Perhaps you could download some things here and check it out.

On a side note, I get to see The Wailers at the end of August.

AWESOME, I'm so glad you're going!
Hearing Wasting Time, live, with Zac Gill would be worth the price of admission for me.

Holy Moly lady!
If you like this I can't help but like you!! [smilie=asa.gif]

Thanks for posting this!

This band kicks some **ss!

Zac Gill on the keyboards is some cool dude.

But I LOVE the rhythm section, bass and drums are WAY cool!

Hope to see them in this mood coming Sunday!

Thanks again for helping on the decision!

Good night, Mike

Sounds expensive to me. I've never even paid that much to see Jimmy.
I like a couple of his songs but for the most part most of his stuff is really boring and monotone to me....I like the musically stripped down sound but I don't want to fall asleep while listening to it.
If I had to go The Wailers would be my highlight.

I'm with Michael on this one, I like to stay awake when I'm at a concert. I wouldn't go see Jack Johnson if it was in the parking lot behind my apartment building and free.

Jesus, I like Jack Johnson and I use my cell phone.
I should probably just go hang myself with the belt from my bathrobe.

Saw him at ACL Fest once and while I appreciate the laid back, surfer vibe, it was all I could do not to slip into a coma. I also have a friend that loves him and if I never have to hear "Banana Pancakes" again I'll be perfectly fine with that.
